The Duskbloods will not launch in 2026. FromSoftware announced from the game’s official X account on October 29 that it is moving the launch window to 2027, with no new date or month attached. The game is still a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive.
The studio’s first message said development is “at the final adjustment stage.” It apologized to players “who have been kindly awaiting the release of this title.”
A follow-up post gave the reason. After the network test, the team wants “time for final adjustments to game rules and balancing.” It said the test showed interest in combat, strategic depth and player expression, and that it wants to keep working on those areas.
That is the whole official statement. FromSoftware didn’t say whether the delay is weeks or months, didn’t name a season, and didn’t announce another network test. The Nintendo Switch 2 store page still shows no price and lists the age rating as pending.

The Duskbloods is a multiplayer action game for up to 8 players, which Nintendo’s store page bills as coming “from the creators of ELDEN RING”. Nintendo lists it as a Switch 2 exclusive. We’ve added it to the release calendar as 2027 until a real date appears.
While development of "The Duskbloods" is at the final adjustment stage, we have made the decision to move the launch window to 2027.

A delay with the 2026 window nearly closed is not a shock. The wording is the encouraging part. “Final adjustment stage” and a balance-focused reason point to a nearly finished game being tuned, not a project in trouble. For example, the follow-up post blames game rules and balancing, not bugs, performance or missing features. Watch for a date or a second test from Nintendo and FromSoftware in the new year.
