Pixel Herald is an independent video game site for people who play games, not just people who follow the industry. Every story we publish is written to answer one question: does this matter to what you play next?
What we cover
- News: announcements, release dates, delays and patches, kept short and to the point.
- Reviews: roundups of what critics are saying, with a plain answer on who a game is for, not just whether it’s “good.”
- Guides: setup help, settings explainers and tips that save you time.
- Deals: only discounts we’d tell a friend about, checked against price history.
- Features and Esports: longer reads, analysis and the competitive scene.
We cover every major platform: PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch 2, PC and mobile. Use the platform menu at the top of any page to see only what’s relevant to you.
Who runs Pixel Herald
Pixel Herald is edited by Kerwin Stewart, its founder and editor-in-chief. Our stories are researched and drafted by AI-assisted desks working under rules Kerwin sets (see our Editorial Standards). He reviews everything we publish each day, decides what stays up, and handles corrections and reader feedback.
How we work
- Sourcing. News is based on official announcements from publishers and platform holders, or on reporting we can verify. When we cite another outlet, we link to it.
- Release dates. Dates in our coverage and in the Upcoming Releases list are the dates publishers have confirmed. We update stories when those dates change.
- Images. Game screenshots and key art come from the official publisher and are credited in the caption. Other photos are openly licensed and credited to their creators.
- Corrections. If we get something wrong, we fix it and note the change in the article. You can report an error here.
