Is Phantom Blade Zero on Game Pass or PS Plus?

Game Pass is Xbox’s game subscription, and PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium are the two PlayStation tiers that carry the month-by-month Game Catalog of games you can download while your subscription runs. On those two questions, Phantom Blade Zero comes out the same way: not on Game Pass and not in the PS Plus catalog on launch day. S-GAME’s action game arrives October 29, 2026 on PS5, Steam and the Epic Games Store at $59.99, and there is no Xbox version to hand to a subscription. PlayStation’s store prices it as a purchase with pre-order bonuses attached, and it is absent from the October PS Plus game catalog.

Quick answer:

  1. Game Pass: no. There is no Xbox version of Phantom Blade Zero at launch. S-GAME’s pre-order announcement says pre-orders are open on PS5, Steam and the Epic Games Store, and Xbox’s own weekly release list for October 26 to 30 leaves it out.
  2. PS Plus Extra or Premium: no, not at launch. PlayStation sells it at $59.99 (Standard) or $69.99 (Deluxe), and the game is not in the October catalog post.
  3. PS Plus Required: no. Steam lists the game as single-player with no multiplayer feature, so there is no online play for that tier to cover.
  4. What you pay: $59.99 for Standard or $69.99 for Deluxe, the same on PS5 and Steam. Pre-ordering either edition gets you the Treasure Basin accessory and the Legacy outfit early. The two extra outfits, the digital artbook and the soundtrack come with the Deluxe edition itself.
  5. When it unlocks: 2:00 UTC on October 29, which is 7 p.m. Pacific on October 28. Our release time guide has the clock for every zone.

Is Phantom Blade Zero on Game Pass?

No, and the reason is simpler than a subscription decision: there is no Xbox version of the game at launch. S-GAME’s pre-order announcement opens pre-orders on PlayStation 5, Steam and Epic Games Store, and names no Xbox version anywhere.

Xbox’s own weekly round-up, Next Week on XBOX for October 26 to 30, published on October 23, settles it. That post prints a Game Pass tag on every Game Pass title that week: The Séance of Blake Manor is tagged “Game Pass / XBOX Play Anywhere”, Scramble Knights Online the same, and Terrible Lizards gets “Game Pass / Smart Delivery / XBOX Play Anywhere”. Phantom Blade Zero is not in the list, and the ID@Xbox showcase recap from October 20 does not mention it either.

So there is no Game Pass day one, and no Xbox release to buy on day one either. For example, a Game Pass subscriber who opens the Xbox store on October 29 finds nothing to download for this game. If S-GAME announces an Xbox version later, we will update this page.

Is Phantom Blade Zero on PS Plus?

Not on launch day. PlayStation’s October game catalog post lists the Extra and Premium additions for the month: Mafia: The Old Country, Horizon Forbidden West, Mycopunk, Poppy Playtime: Chapter 2, The Midnight Walk, Tales of Arise and Monster Energy Supercross 25 for Extra, with Dino Crisis 2 and RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Complete Edition for Premium. Phantom Blade Zero is in none of those lists.

The other half of the evidence is the store itself. PlayStation’s game page lists Standard at $59.99 and Deluxe at $69.99, with a pre-order bonus of the Treasure Basin accessory and the Legacy outfit, and PlayStation notes that both can also be earned through in-game progression. A game inside PS Plus Extra would not need a price and a bonus list attached to it.

The usual caveat applies. The catalog rotates, PlayStation says the lineup “may differ by region” and tells players to check the store on release day, so a later addition is not impossible. We will update this page if it lands in a future month.

Do you need PS Plus to play it on PS5?

No. Steam’s feature list for Phantom Blade Zero shows single-player with Steam Achievements, Steam Cloud and Family Sharing, and no multiplayer entry, and PlayStation’s own store page lists the game as 1 player with no multiplayer feature, so the PS Plus tier that exists for online multiplayer has nothing to gate. Our beginner’s guide covers what to do first once you are in.

What do the PS5 and PC versions cost?

Edition Price What you get
Standard $59.99 The full game, plus early access to the Treasure Basin accessory and the Legacy outfit
Deluxe $69.99 Standard, plus the Wulin Legend and Blood-Steel Form outfits, the digital artbook and the digital soundtrack

Prices are the same on PlayStation 5 and Steam, and our editions guide has the full comparison. The Treasure Basin accessory raises Remnant Dust drop rates by 10%, and the Legacy outfit comes early. Both can also be unlocked through in-game progression, so the pre-order bonus is a head start rather than a locked item.

Does Phantom Blade Zero have DRM?

Yes. Steam’s feature list for the game includes “Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: Denuvo”, the third-party protection layer the store lists in its features panel. It is a PC-side restriction and does not touch the PS5 build.

Is Phantom Blade Zero on Steam Deck?

Valve has not published a Steam Deck rating for the game, so there is nothing to quote yet. Our PC specs, file size and preload guide tracks the rating, the ProtonDB reports and the download size, and it updates as those numbers land.

When does Phantom Blade Zero unlock?

The game goes live at 2:00 UTC on October 29, which is 7 p.m. Pacific and 10 p.m. Eastern on October 28 and 2 a.m. GMT in the UK (UK clocks fell back on October 25, so launch day is on GMT). Our release time guide has the clock for every zone, the date sits on our Release Calendar, and our Phantom Blade Zero game page tracks the launch.

We checked two official launch-week documents side by side. One is Xbox Wire’s October 23 release list, which prints a Game Pass tag on every Game Pass title that week. The other is PlayStation’s own store page, which prices Phantom Blade Zero with a pre-order bonus attached. Neither service names the game, and the publisher’s site lists only PS5, Steam and Epic. For a player deciding on October 29, the subscription question is already settled, so the real choice is the edition and whether to wait for the review scores. We will update this page if S-GAME announces an Xbox version or PlayStation adds the game to a later catalog.
