Is CRYMELIGHT Cross-Platform? Single-Player Only, No Cross-Play

CRYMELIGHT launches on November 4, 2026 (November 5 JST) for PC (Steam, Windows only), PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2. It is a single-player only game with no multiplayer component, no cross-play, and no cross-progression between platforms.

Cross-progression (or cross-save) means your career progress, saves, and unlocked content carry across platforms. Cross-play means multiplayer matchmaking across platforms. CRYMELIGHT has neither because it has no online multiplayer at all.

The short answer

  • PC (Steam) vs PlayStation 5: No cross-play, no cross-save. Separate purchases, separate save files.
  • PC (Steam) vs Nintendo Switch 2: No cross-play, no cross-save. Separate purchases, separate save files.
  • PlayStation 5 vs Nintendo Switch 2: No cross-play, no cross-save. Separate purchases, separate save files.

What the official sources say

Furyu’s official CRYMELIGHT website lists the game as a single-player roguelike action title with a 20-30 hour playthrough. The Steam store page categorizes it as Single-player only. The PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop listings also show single-player only.

There is no online co-op, no competitive multiplayer, and no shared world features. Each platform version is a standalone single-player experience.

Platform versions at launch

Platform Store Cross-play Cross-save
PC (Windows) Steam N/A (single-player) Steam Cloud only
PlayStation 5 PlayStation Store N/A (single-player) PlayStation cloud saves
Nintendo Switch 2 Nintendo eShop N/A (single-player) Nintendo cloud saves

No Game Pass or PS Plus at launch

CRYMELIGHT is not announced for Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass, or PlayStation Plus at launch. The game launches as a premium purchase on all three platforms. Furyu’s prior CRY series titles (Crystar, Crymachina) were not on subscription services at launch.

What about the free demo?

A free CRYMELIGHT Demo is available on Steam (appid 4864600) for Windows. The demo is single-player and uses the same Windows-only build as the full game. There is no demo on PlayStation 5 or Nintendo Switch 2 at this time.

The single-player-only design is a deliberate choice by Furyu. The game’s three core systems are the Poker System where you form poker hands from skill cards, the Wonder Dimension that scales combat speed and power the longer you survive, and the Repentance System that converts collected sins into permanent upgrades; all three are built around a solo run structure. There is no lobby, no matchmaking, and no shared progression. This mirrors Furyu’s prior CRY series entries: Crystar (2018) and Crymachina (2023) were both single-player action RPGs with no multiplayer or cross-platform features. The Windows-only PC build (no Mac, no Linux) also means Steam Deck and Linux handhelds are unsupported at launch, so even if cross-save existed, there would be no Linux target to sync with.
