Coin Crew Games and iam8bit will release Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School on PlayStation 5 on November 5, the studio confirmed on the PlayStation Blog this morning.
The puzzle sequel expands the original’s escape-room format into a fully open-world campus, with couch and online co-op available from launch. PlayStation players will explore the Academy’s Headmaster’s Tower, Humanities Campus, Science Campus and Arts Campus, each packed with handcrafted puzzles, side quests and secrets. Today’s post also reveals a redesigned visual identity that retains familiar locations like the Headmaster’s Office from the first game, plus a No-Timer Mode for players who want to puzzle at their own pace.
Escape Academy 2 has been on the radar for months: an Xbox Game Pass announcement trailer landed in May, and the Steam page has been live since the demo arrived in late 2025. Today’s PlayStation Blog post pins the PS5 date alongside new screenshots. The first game passed 4 million players, per its Steam listing, and the sequel’s story picks up after the events of the original with a fresh mystery around the Academy’s founding.
