Genshin Impact 7.2 ‘Hour of Ruin’ Revealed, Codes Expire October 26

HoYoverse’s Genshin Impact Version 7.2 special program aired this morning, and the update has a name: Hour of Ruin. The broadcast was scheduled for 20:00 UTC+8, or 8 AM ET, and the studio has since posted the recording on the official Genshin Impact channel.

HoYoverse said the program would cover new content and developments for 7.2, and to “drop” redemption codes. Those codes expire at 00:00 (UTC-4) on October 26, so anyone grabbing them has until then. Redeemed rewards go to the in-game mailbox, and the studio says that mail expires after 30 days.

Two new characters got their own reveal shorts on the official channel today: Mitya in “Rules Set at Naught” and Valeriy in “Fort Fulguration”. Both are tagged to the Snezhnaya storyline the current version has been running.

What isn’t in writing yet: HoYoverse’s announcement of the program stops short of a launch date, and the official Version 7.2 key art says only “Coming Soon”. Banner order and character rarities haven’t been posted either.
