Devolver Digital has confirmed that Look Outside launches on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on October 30, 2026. The publisher’s own announcement, posted on X and Bluesky on October 23, lists the four platforms and the date, and stops there. No launch hour, no price, no pre-order date.
That gives PlayStation and Nintendo players the game about 19 months after it arrived on PC. Look Outside is a survival horror RPG by developer Francis Coulombe, released on Steam on March 21, 2025 and still listed there at $9.99. Its Steam page shows more than 14,000 player reviews.
The setup is the pitch. Cosmic horror is the subgenre where the threat is bigger than the people facing it, and here the sky has broken: anyone who looks out the window turns into a monster, according to the game’s store description. You scavenge a single apartment building for food, supplies and weapons while working through the residents, human and otherwise.
What is still missing is what players usually want before buying: the console price, whether a launch discount is planned, and whether physical editions exist. Devolver’s post did not mention an Xbox version either, so PlayStation and Nintendo are the only destinations named in this announcement.
PC players do not have to wait. The full game is on Steam today, and console players are not alone in wanting old favorites on new hardware. Cult of the Lamb reached Switch 2 on October 22, and Resident Evil 2, 3 and 4 launched on Switch 2 this month.

The interesting part of this announcement is the wait, not the date. About 19 months is a long gap between a PC debut and a console release. Putting the game on Switch, Switch 2, PS5 and PS4 on a single day suggests Devolver is treating the console launch as one hardware moment, not a staggered rollout. For example, Enshrouded’s PS5 launch lifted its Steam numbers, and Tenebris Somnia launched on four platforms at once. Whether Look Outside follows that pattern is the open question, along with the missing price and pre-order details.
