Today’s release date sweep covers seven new official windows. Every date below was added to the Pixel Herald release calendar and is the first time the studio or publisher confirmed it.
4 Penny Coffins: October 27, 2026 (PC via Steam)
Other Ocean’s horror and social investigation game lands October 27 on Steam, just in time for Halloween. Detectives go up against a demonically possessed, cleverly disguised “Ripper” using forensic techniques while the Ripper bribes witnesses, smears fingerprints, and picks them off one by one. Single-player and co-op both supported. A free demo runs through October 26 as part of Steam Next Fest starting October 19. Other Ocean press release on Games Press.
Arizona Sunshine Remake: January 21, 2027 (Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series, PC)
Vertigo Games’ third-person reimagining of the original zombie shooter hits all four platforms on January 21, 2027. Standard Edition is $24.99 (with a Desert Raiders pre-order skin pack); Deluxe Edition is $29.99, adds the original Arizona Sunshine VR Legacy campaign plus the Dead Man and The Damned DLC, plus 48 hours of early access. The remake brings split-screen and online co-op, the first-ever playable Buddy (the dog), and the franchise’s signature dark humor in third person. VGChartz coverage with the official release date trailer.
Stage Tour: December 10, 2026 (PS5, Xbox Series, PC, Switch 2)
RedOctane Games (founded 2025 by Guitar Hero and DJ Hero veterans, part of the Embracer Group family) opens digital pre-orders today for Stage Tour ahead of its December 10 launch. $39.99 USD / €39.99 / £34.99 with a 10% pre-order discount. The launch setlist is 90+ songs across six decades of music, 180+ in-game Gibson / Epiphone / Kramer guitars, and 50+ bandmates, playable with guitar controllers, gamepads, gaming keyboards, or old Rock Band and Guitar Hero peripherals. The Stage Tour Kramer Wireless Guitar + Game Bundle starts at $129.99. RedOctane press release on Games Press.
The Killing Stone: October 21, 2026 (PS5, Xbox Series, PC)
Question’s 17th-century folk-horror deckbuilder, which first launched on Steam in February 2026, comes to PS5 and Xbox Series on October 21. The console launch brings the animated card-battler and first-person narrative about bargaining with demons and outwitting the Devil himself to a wider audience. Pricing was not announced. Gematsu report on the launch.
Acts of Blood: December 4, 2026 (PC); 2027 (PS5, Xbox Series)
Eksil Team and publisher Big Fan’s action-brawler inspired by Indonesian martial arts, with acrobatic combat and a present-day Jakarta setting, launches on PC December 4. The PS5 and Xbox Series versions follow in 2027. Pricing was not announced. Gematsu report on the launch.
Arcade Archives THUNDERCADE: October 15, 2026 (Switch)
Hamster Corporation’s Arcade Archives series brings SETA’s 1987 laserdisc-era motorcycle shooter Thundercade to Nintendo Switch tomorrow. The Arcade Archives line is the canonical retro re-release program for late-80s arcade titles. Gematsu report on the launch.
Console Archives THE DRUG STORE: October 15, 2026 (Switch)
Hamster Corporation’s Console Archives counterpart adds the 1984 home-computer release The Drug Store to Switch tomorrow. Like other Hamster retro re-releases, the game is Japanese-language only with no Western localization announced. Gematsu report on the launch.
Our read: The mix today is the inverse of the usual Switch-heavy roundup. The biggest name (Arizona Sunshine Remake, the third-person zombie shooter) and the most concrete price announcement (Stage Tour’s $39.99 with the 10% pre-order) both drop January and December dates, while the Switch-exclusive Hamster retro re-releases are the only Oct 15 launches on the list. Of the seven, two are console ports of existing Steam games (The Killing Stone’s PS5/Xbox launch from a Feb 2026 Steam start, and Acts of Blood’s PC-first Dec 4 timing ahead of its 2027 console launch), three are first-time announcements or new platforms (Arizona Sunshine Remake, Stage Tour, 4 Penny Coffins), and the two Hamster re-releases fill out the rest of the roundup. The day is light on tier-1 first-party news but useful for players who follow specific beats (Halloween horror, retro re-releases, the Guitar Hero-adjacent rhythm genre). For everything dated above, we also have the full release calendar updated and the Coming West tracker tracking the Japan-only items.
Seven dates added. The largest in terms of player base is the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 roadmap and release timing coverage from earlier today, and the day’s biggest new DLC is the Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave Expansion Pass that Nintendo and Intelligent Systems put out with Wave 1 going live the same day as the announcement.
