The Miami Zero expansion for zombie checkpoint sim Quarantine Zone: The Last Check is out today on Xbox Series X|S and PC, including via Xbox and PC Game Pass. Developer Brigada Games and publisher Devolver Digital are giving the DLC away free to anyone who already owns the base game.
Miami Zero rewinds the outbreak to ground zero. Players leave the original snowed-in outpost and head to sun-baked Miami in the earliest days of the virus, with a fresh campaign and questline centered on the city where the infection first hits. Brigada has added more than 30 new survivors with their own voice lines and animations, plus new symptoms and contraband drugs to look for during inspection – drugs that can be tucked under hats, swallowed or hidden in a fist.
There’s also a research center for experimenting on the infected, a side quest to repair a ship and sail to calmer waters, a dynamic weather system covering Miami sunshine, dust storms and tropical rain, and new locations including a pier, city streets and a music festival. Quarantine Zone launched in January and has had regular updates since; Devolver calls Miami Zero the game’s biggest content drop yet. Owners can download it free today, and Game Pass subscribers get it without buying the base game.
