Riot Games revealed the 30th agent in VALORANT, a Chinese-origin duelist named Hush (ハッシュ), at the Grand Final of VALORANT Champions Shanghai today, October 18, 2026. GameSpark is the only outlet with the news in English so far; per GameSpark’s same-day write-up, Hush joins the game’s playable roster on October 27, 2026 (local time).
Hush is the 30th VALORANT agent overall since the game’s June 2020 launch, and the agent is described as Chinese-origin in Riot’s Champions Shanghai reveal. GameSpark’s headline calls out the character’s visual design (“pink long hair, cool and cute”), but the article body has only the official Riot reveal. Full ability names, kit and lore are still to come from Riot’s English channels. Riot has not yet updated the English agents page at playvalorant.com, which still lists 29 agents and does not list Hush anywhere.
The reveal landed at the Shanghai Grand Final between LOUD and Team Vitality. Both finalists entered as third-time tournament opponents after Vitality’s group-stage 2-0 and LOUD’s 2-1 upper-final victory, with the best-of-five final scheduled for 2 p.m. China Standard Time (11 p.m. Pacific daylight time on Oct 17). The official VALORANT Champions Tour X account posted the pre-match hype film “Grand Finals Film // VALORANT Champions Shanghai Day 18” at 4:01 AM JST (Oct 18); the agent reveal followed on the broadcast. Our earlier coverage of the Shanghai bracket includes G2 Eliminate T1, Reach Valorant Champions 2026 Top Four and G2 Esports Sweeps 100 Thieves 2-0 to Reach VALORANT Champions Shanghai Upper Semis.
Can you play it in English?
Yes, immediately on the 27th, in every region where VALORANT is live. Riot’s Champions Shanghai reveal applies globally, not just to the Asia-Pacific server. Hush’s voice lines will ship in the same language set as the rest of the roster (English, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and others). Riot has not yet confirmed whether Hush’s reveal trailer will be subtitled in Japanese when it lands on the official VALORANT YouTube channel; GameSpark’s article notes Riot’s Japanese VALORANT account will likely carry the Japanese-subtitled version, given the Champions event was held in Shanghai and the Asia-Pacific server already lists Japanese text.
