Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition are all out on Nintendo Switch 2 today, October 16, 2026, with a limited-time launch discount through November 7, Capcom announced via Games Press.
The three remakes, all rebuilt on Capcom’s RE ENGINE, bring Raccoon City and the cultist village of RE 4 to Nintendo’s new handheld for the first time. Resident Evil 2 Deluxe Edition ships with the extra costumes, weapon packs, and soundtrack that came in the original Deluxe version. Resident Evil 4 Gold Edition includes the Separate Ways DLC plus the other bonus content from the original Gold release. Capcom says all mainline Resident Evil titles, including the recently released Resident Evil Requiem and the still-untitled Resident Evil Veronica, will be playable on Switch 2 once that one ships.
A launch discount runs through November 7, 2026; Capcom didn’t list exact prices in the press release, so the current Nintendo eShop listings are the live numbers. No physical release has been announced for the three remakes on Switch 2, and Capcom’s press release doesn’t mention one. The Resident Evil franchise is in the middle of its 30th anniversary, with more news promised before the year is out.
