Honkai: Star Rail 4.7 Launches November 11 With Aeon Aha

Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.7, “Now, Lay Laughter to All Stars,” launches on November 11, HoYoverse said today, bringing a new limited 5-star character and a new growth system to the space RPG. The publisher has not published a start time for the patch, only the date.

Aeon Aha leads the update’s character announcements, a limited 5-star character on the Path of Elation. HoYoverse says Aha will let Elation characters unlock unique combat abilities. The team also accumulates Wishpower for Aha during battle, and once that gauge is full the Ultimate can be activated to deal Elation damage to every enemy. Aha’s Aeonic Authority lets ally attacks cut an enemy’s maximum health directly.

The banner line-up is already split across the two halves of the patch. Silver Wolf LV.999, Sparxie and Yao Guang rerun in the first half, while Acheron, Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae and Jing Yuan come back in the second.

The more lasting change is Affinitive Eidolon, a new growth system that unlocks additional abilities for characters you already own. HoYoverse’s own posts say the system goes live after the 4.7 update itself, and Acheron, Dan Heng • Imbibitor Lunae and Jing Yuan are the first three characters it will strengthen.

Version 4.7 does something unusual for a HoYoverse patch. It ships a new limited character and, in the same release, a progression system for three characters that return in the second half of the banner. How much the update is worth to you depends on which side of the banner you spend on. For example, a player who already runs Acheron gets a second reason to care about the patch even if they skip Aeon Aha.

Events stack up alongside it. “The Fluffy Movie: Overheated” runs as the version event, and “Interastral Peace Gala: Road to Fame” opens as the combat event. “Currency Wars” returns for a second season called “Voyage Into the Canvas.” Aeon Aha’s new outfit “Star Lotto” is up for grabs in the “Phantasia Showstage” draw, and the animated short “A Joyful Funeral Beneath the Moon” arrives on launch day.

Honkai: Star Rail is on PC, iOS, Android, Epic Games Store and PS5, and HoYoverse says the game has passed 150 million downloads across all platforms. The full announcement has the rest of the version details.
