Look Outside lands on Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on Friday, October 30, 2026, and the Switch versions unlock at midnight local time in each region, per Nintendo’s own eShop listings. Nintendo has not published a launch hour, so the box above follows the same midnight-per-region rule as our It Takes Two Switch 2 release time guide. In the US that is 12:00 a.m. ET on October 30 on the East Coast (Miami, Atlanta, New York) and 9:00 p.m. PDT on October 29 on the West Coast (Los Angeles, Seattle). The UK gets it at midnight GMT and Central Europe at midnight CET on October 30, because both sets of clocks went back on Sunday, October 25. Australia and New Zealand are first, at midnight AEDT and NZDT on October 30 local.

Devolver Digital announced the four console platforms and the October 30 date on October 23, on Bluesky, and stopped there: no hour and no pre-order date. Nintendo has not published a launch hour either, and no PlayStation unlock hour has been announced, so PS5 and PS4 players do not have a confirmed time yet and should check their store page on launch morning. Nintendo lists both Switch versions at $9.99, the same price as PC.

For example, a London Switch player gets the game at midnight GMT on October 30, and a Los Angeles player gets the Switch version at 9:00 p.m. PDT the night before.

What you are waiting for

Look Outside is not a new game. Developer Francis Coulombe’s survival horror RPG first arrived on PC on March 21, 2025 and still costs $9.99 on Steam, where the store lists it as Overwhelmingly Positive with more than 14,000 recommendations (our October 23 report). The setup is the pitch: a mysterious event turns anyone who looks out the window into grotesque monsters, so you scavenge a single apartment building for food, supplies and weapons and work through the residents, human and otherwise.

The October 30 date is the console launch, about 19 months after the PC release. Devolver named no Xbox version, so PlayStation and Nintendo are the only destinations in this release.

The console launch is a backlog release rather than a new release: the game has been on PC since March 2025, and what October 30 adds is the ability to play it on a TV with a controller in the living room. The $9.99 console price matches what PC players already pay, so nobody is paying extra for the port. The number that matters on launch day is the hour: Nintendo’s midnight-local unlock is confirmed for both Switch versions, and the PlayStation side still has no published hour.
