Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass will lose eight games on October 31, 2026, including co-op shooter Deep Rock Galactic, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and tactical sim Wartales, according to the wave-2 list tracked by TrueAchievements and reported by GameSpot, GameGPU, and Bespin Bulletin. Xbox Game Pass is Microsoft’s Netflix-style subscription that gives members a rotating catalog of downloadable games for a monthly fee.

The full second-wave list, in the order outlets published it: Deep Rock Galactic, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Wartales, Wildgate, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, Dead Static Drive, Full Throttle Remastered, and Day of the Tentacle Remastered.

Subscribers lose access once October 31 closes unless they bought the games separately at full price. Both Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass are affected. Game Pass Standard tier members keep their catalog the same as before, so the removals only touch subscribers who pay for the rotating catalog tier.

Deep Rock Galactic is the standout. The Ghost Ship Games shooter has anchored the Game Pass PC lineup since its 2020 launch. It earned a 95% positive rating on Steam with hundreds of thousands of player reviews. Its exit takes one of the strongest day-one co-op recommendations off the service. Wartales, the open-world tactical RPG from Shiro Games, is the second-biggest pull for subscribers who planned to play a single Game Pass game for more than 100 hours. Bespin Bulletin notes that LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has been on the service for almost four years after joining in December 2022. That is much longer than the 6-12 month window most Game Pass titles occupy.

The two LucasArts remasters from Double Fine, Day of the Tentacle and Full Throttle, are also leaving. Both are short (around three hours each to clear) and are easy targets to wrap up before the cut-off. TrueAchievements estimates the time-to-100% achievements for the bigger games on the list. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga runs 80 to 100 hours. Wartales runs 150 to 200 hours. Deep Rock Galactic runs 300 to 500 hours. For Wildgate and Dead Static Drive, the portal doesn’t yet have enough data to estimate the required time. GameGPU noted that the removal of the two Double Fine remasters is notable but doesn’t necessarily mean other Double Fine games will follow off Game Pass.

This is wave 2 of October’s Game Pass removals. Microsoft rotated out a first wave of titles earlier this month (GameGPU). The mix in wave 2 is heavier on older, multi-year Game Pass residents (LEGO Star Wars at four years, Deep Rock Galactic at five-plus) than on recent additions, which suggests Microsoft is using the second half of October to clear out long-tenured deals as part of the cost-cutting it signaled after the Activision deal. Subscribers who treat Game Pass as a free-trial platform lose their best multi-hundred-hour co-op option. Players who follow the service closely will already have the games purchased from past sales. The pattern matches the recent Battlefield 6 free trial extension on Steam and other Q4 pushes for subscribers over buyers.

What’s next: Microsoft typically confirms removals via its Game Pass mobile app and the Xbox app on PC in the days leading up to October 31. Subscribers who want to finish one of the eight should start it before the cut-off.
