Stage Tour unlocks on PC at 12:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, December 10, 2026, which is 5:00 p.m. GMT in the UK, 6:00 p.m. CET in Central Europe and 2:00 a.m. JST on Friday, December 11. The PlayStation 5 build goes live half a day earlier, at 12:00 a.m. ET on December 10 (05:00 UTC), and RedOctane has never printed a clock hour anywhere. The countdown above follows the PC unlock, which is the moment Steam libraries update.
Two different unlocks on the same day
| Version | Where you buy it | Unlock |
|---|---|---|
| PC | Steam, Epic Games Store | 12:00 p.m. ET on December 10 (17:00 UTC) |
| PlayStation 5 | PlayStation Store | 12:00 a.m. ET on December 10 (05:00 UTC) |
| Xbox Series X|S | Xbox Store | December 10, no hour published |
| Nintendo Switch 2 | Nintendo eShop | December 10, no hour published |
RedOctane’s own FAQ says Stage Tour launches on December 10 across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2, and stops there. The two clock times come from the stores themselves: the release timestamp on the Steam page, and the release date carried in the PlayStation Store listing, which reads identically in the US, the UK, Germany and Japan.
What you get on day one
More than 90 officially licensed songs spanning six decades, more than 180 Gibson, Epiphone and Kramer guitars, and more than 50 bandmates to put in a lineup. You can play Lead, Groove, Drums, Vocals, or the 4-Lane and 5-Lane Arcade modes, with or without a real instrument controller, and the roguelite Tour Mode keeps the setlist growing after launch. Four players can share a stage locally, online or across platforms, so a console bandmate and a PC drummer can finish a song together.
Price, pre-orders and the pre-load question
The game is $39.99 on Steam, or $35.99 with the 10% pre-order discount that the official pre-order page advertises. The PlayStation Store lists $39.99 in the US, £34.99 in the UK, €39.99 in Germany and ¥5,170 in Japan. Hardware bundles with the game run from $129.99 for one Kramer wireless guitar up to $349.99 for the Pro Band Kit, and RedOctane’s community update from October 29 confirms the plans: four major expansion events a year, individual songs sold separately, and new gameplay features that arrive as free updates.
Nobody has published a pre-load date, and the game needs 20 GB of space (our system requirements guide), so clear the drive before launch day rather than on it. One last practical note from the FAQ: buy the ESRB version for North America or the PEGI/USK/ACB version for Europe and Oceania, because those are the only two regional versions at launch.
We compared RedOctane’s own FAQ, which gives a date and no clock, against the two stores that do publish one. The gap is twelve hours, and it splits by platform rather than by region: the console store goes first at 12:00 a.m. ET, while Steam holds PC players until lunchtime. For anyone planning a launch-night session with friends, that difference decides whether your band starts at breakfast or at dinner, and for cross-platform groups it decides who is waiting on whom.
