RedOctane Games has updated the shipping timeline for Stage Tour hardware pre-orders. The initial December 1-10 shipping window for drum kits and band bundles has sold out, pushing new orders for those products to a December 11-31 window. Game and guitar bundles remain available within the original December 1-10 window.
The update was posted October 27 on the official Stage Tour newsroom (first reported by Game Rant). RedOctane emphasized there are no manufacturing issues; the delay reflects unexpectedly strong demand for the drum hardware.
Stage Tour launches December 10, 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The rhythm-action game supports official Stage Tour hardware (Gibson, Epiphone, and Kramer guitars plus a dedicated drum kit) as well as over 50 legacy guitar controllers and 20 drum kits on PC. Players can also use gamepad or keyboard with Arcade 4-Lane and 5-Lane note charts, simplified control schemes that map all instruments to a standard controller.
Gibson, Epiphone, and Kramer are historic guitar brands now producing official Stage Tour controllers. Arcade 4-Lane and 5-Lane are control schemes designed for gamepad or keyboard play, letting you hit notes for all instruments without specialized hardware.
Pre-orders are open on stagetour.com and at retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Walmart, and Target in the United States. Digital pre-orders are live on Steam, PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, and Epic Games Store. Our release calendar lists the December 10 launch alongside other rhythm titles.
RedOctane also confirmed that Nintendo Switch 2 drum kits will not be available at launch. The studio is working toward Switch 2 compatibility but has no confirmed date.
The game includes 90+ licensed songs at launch across rock, metal, and other genres, with four major content expansions planned annually. All songs will remain purchasable throughout their typical 10-year licensing periods; no limited-time purchase windows.
The drum kit sell-out is a notable signal for a genre that has had few new instrument games in years. RedOctane’s community update notes the initial allocation filled faster than projected. The studio is now working with manufacturing partners to accelerate later shipments. If Stage Tour’s drum demand holds, it suggests a deeper appetite for plastic instruments than many expected. The community update also outlines four major content expansions per year with individual song packs between them, all staying purchasable for typical 10-year licensing periods.
Which Stage Tour setup are you planning: the full band kit, guitar only, or gamepad?
