Crossout Remastered Update Is Live With a Full Graphics Overhaul

Crossout’s Remastered update is live now on PC, PS5 and Xbox, rebuilding the game’s landscapes, lighting, vegetation and water on a heavily upgraded version of the Targem engine. Gaijin Entertainment says the update is available now, after moving the October update to October 22, 2026 for technical reasons.

The changes are visual first: reworked landscape rendering with adaptive GPU tessellation, grass rendered entirely on the GPU at much higher density, a redesigned lighting system with new global illumination and contact shadows, and water that ripples, splashes and wakes around vehicles and combat walkers. Every existing map was rebuilt on the new systems, with revised color palettes, fog and lighting per location.

The upscaling options changed too. FXAA is gone, replaced by DLSS 4.5 with Dynamic Multi-Frame Generation on supported NVIDIA GPUs, plus Reflex and DLAA at native resolution. FSR 1 stays available, FSR 3.1 has been added, and supported AMD cards can switch up to FSR 4.

The update also brings content: a new “Whispers of the Wasteland” event running to November 18, with a paid pack that unlocks a custom version of the “Snowfall” rocket launcher, a Halloween event through November 4, reworked brawls, and a revamped Clan war mode whose first season starts October 26. The Adventure mode is unavailable while the team works on it.

One platform is still waiting. Gaijin says the PS4 version of Remastered is held up by technical issues and is being released as soon as possible.
