Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered launches on PlayStation 5 and PC on November 3, 2026. Atari confirmed the console date in a PlayStation Blog fighter guide published on November 2, and the Steam page lists the same November 3 date for Windows. PC players are not waiting weeks for their copy.

It is a rebuild of the 2002 fighter by original developer Pipeworks Studios. Atari says the visuals were remastered from the ground up, gameplay updates are in, and the old unlock order is gone. Players can now open monsters, locations and gallery items in any sequence they like. The PlayStation Store listing adds single-player campaigns for each kaiju, on top of local co-op and new online multiplayer.

PlayStation’s guide spends most of its length on how the roster plays against each other. Heisei Godzilla is the balanced default. King Ghidorah is built for range attacks, with gravity beams and a poor melee game. For instance, Anguirus wins by counter-attacking with his spines, while Rodan is the fastest kaiju in the game and the least durable. Mechagodzilla trades mobility for a plasma cannon and a flying head-butt. Rage Mode is the name Atari gives the special strike each monster can land. The arenas include recreated real-world cities, Monster Island and the alien Mothership, and you can throw a skyscraper at a rival, which was the whole point of the original.

One thing players will want before Tuesday is the price, and there is not one yet. Neither the Steam page nor the PlayStation Store page shows a price, and both still point at a wishlist instead of a checkout. Our methodology here was simple: we read both store listings and PlayStation’s guide, and checked the date, the roster count and the multiplayer rules against them. Steam’s minimum PC spec is Windows 10 64-bit with an Intel Core i7-9700 or Ryzen 5 3600 and 16GB of RAM.

For most players this will be an old curiosity instead of a favorite, and the roster is not what decides the launch. The two features that are genuinely new here are online multiplayer and the per-monster campaigns, and those are what turn a rebuilt 2002 fighter into something worth buying new in 2026. The missing price tag is the last thing between an announcement and a decision. The launch is on our release calendar.
