Assetto Corsa EVO‘s long-awaited Free Roam mode launches on December 9 with the 0.10 update on Steam Early Access, KUNOS Simulazioni and publisher 505 Games confirmed today at Sim Racing Expo 2026 in Frankfurt.

Free Roam is the most ambitious update since the Early Access launch in January 2025. It puts players into a 1:1 scale recreation of Germany’s Eifel region, headlined by the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife and surrounding villages, country roads, and off-road paths. The map is built from real-world scale data and is designed to keep growing through future updates.

Drivers can expect dynamic weather, day and night cycles, AI-driven road traffic, and optional driving activities like Time Attack events seeded throughout the open world. Nürburgring expert and racing driver Misha Charoudin also stars in a companion reveal video showing off local landmarks.

The 0.10 update arrives as a free download for current Early Access owners, and Free Roam playable stations are running today through Sunday at the Assetto Corsa booth (Hall 12, G18-20) at Sim Racing Expo. KUNOS hasn’t announced a console version or the full Early Access exit date yet.
