SnowRunner is an off-road truck-driving sim from Saber Interactive, where you pilot heavy trucks through mud, snow and floodwater across wilderness maps using a weight-and-torque physics model. Season 19: Research & Restore goes live for the game on Tuesday, October 20, Focus Entertainment confirmed on Monday. The publisher posted the news on its Bluesky account and linked an official recap trailer on YouTube.
In SnowRunner’s post-launch model, a season is a numbered, free content drop that layers in a new map region, fresh contracts and trucks on top of the base game for anyone who already owns it. Seasons don’t have their own paid DLC listings on Steam: only the first four are sold as separate store pages, and the base $29.99 game includes any future season. The Season 19 trailer leans into cold-weather recovery work, with Focus teasing it the same way: “Better bundle up, ’cause things are about to get chilly.”
Focus hasn’t posted a specific launch time. The recap video is the only official Season 19 asset so far. The base game and the four Seasons that do have store pages (Search & Recover, Explore & Expand, Locate & Deliver, New Frontiers) are at 60% off on the SnowRunner Steam listing through October 24, dropping the base price from $29.99 to $11.99, which gives new buyers a cheap window before Season 19 shows up in everyone’s feed.
SnowRunner is on Steam, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch, including the Switch 2 port that arrived earlier this year. Saber also develops the related Switch 2 launch title covered in our recent Switch 2 launch coverage hub. The game has a permanent slot in our release calendar tracker and shows up in the Pixel Herald player-count index alongside the other active Steam sims.
Season 19 dropping the day before the Steam discount window closes is good timing for Focus. Anyone on the fence gets a built-in reason to grab the base game at $11.99 tonight and wake up to new content tomorrow, which is the classic attach-rate play seasonal live-service games lean on. For players who already own SnowRunner, this is the standard free seasonal bump: a new map, fresh tasks and probably a truck or two to grind out, with no ceremony and no Season Pass to chase. Compared to other long-running sims in the Pixel Herald deals coverage, SnowRunner’s pricing pattern is one of the more player-friendly ones, since none of Seasons 5–19 have ever been paywalled after release. The bigger question is whether Season 19’s content holds up to the past few seasons’ quality, since two of the last four releases disappointed long-time players per community posts on r/snowrunner, but that won’t be clear until servers update tomorrow.
