Wuthering Waves Version 3.8, “Lilies in a Dying Dream,” launches on November 12, 2026, Kuro Games said in its official update announcement. The update adds the new Resonator Lily, the Lullaby weapon, Chapter IV Act V, “A Bouquet for Tomorrow,” and a Tactical Hologram: Calamity Effigy challenge.
Kuro’s official trailer puts the launch on November 12 in UTC+8 but does not name an exact start hour. New content includes Hiyuki’s Lune Noire outfit, the Flaming Sakura accessory, the combat event Dreamfield Odyssey and leisure events Second Coming of Solaris: Unwritten Dreams and Lahai-Roi Blocks: Turnabout. Kuro also plans a seven-day login event and another limited-time login event.
The practical changes are substantial. Kuro is redesigning Rover’s Resonance Conversion page so converted Echo Sets switch automatically to the matching Resonance Attribute. New helpers such as the Material Locator button can send players to suitable collection challenges, the Resonator Ascension Planner points to related challenges, and a new Blitz Mode restarts those challenges without a full reload. The studio also says it has optimized turning, movement transitions and combat hit reactions.
PC players have the biggest job. Kuro’s Steam notice, published November 5, says the download method for the game on Steam will be replaced by an Official Launcher during the 3.8 maintenance, and the steps are blunt: uninstall the old Steam package completely, re-download and install the new launcher through Steam, then choose your resource tier from inside it. The Official Launcher is Kuro’s replacement for the old Steam download, and the tier picker lives inside it. The single package is being split into three tiers, UHD, HD and SD, based on graphics quality, models and other assets, and the update announcement calls the new PC launcher options a limited test between Full Resources and Basic Resources, with an upgraded Resource Cleanup tool to go with them. Kuro says the swap only touches local files and that your account and in-game progress are unaffected. If you hit problems afterwards, such as login failures, payment errors or missing map assets, check that the old package is gone. Pre-download does not arrive with 3.8: Kuro says Steam will support it for future versions once pre-download for Version 4.0 starts. On supported consoles, a new Graphics Quality setting offers Performance or Quality modes, while PS5 Pro players can enable PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution for image resolution up to 4K.
The two Featured Convenes will let players choose one 5-star Resonator or one 5-star weapon as their target and change that selection later. Kuro has not published the exact banner schedule, and the official trailer gives no launch hour, so the full convene details and a precise launch hour are still to come.
For players, the utility changes may matter more than the new character if you spend time converting Echoes or hunting upgrade materials. Version 3.8 handles a lot at once: a story chapter, a new Resonator, quality-of-life work and another round of featured pulls. The Steam client rebuild is the part to plan around. Kuro previewed it on September 29, so it is a scheduled overhaul instead of a hotfix, and it costs you one reinstall and some free disk space. We have added the launch to our release calendar, and the same week brings Honkai: Star Rail 4.7 on November 11.
