Dark Souls II and Dark Souls III have had their servers offline on all platforms since FromSoftware announced a server problem on Friday, October 30. The studio still has not said when online play returns.
The notice on FromSoftware’s official player support account said the game servers for both titles “will be temporarily unavailable on all platforms” because of “a server issue”. It added that the studio would “provide updates once we have information regarding the server restoration time”. That update has not arrived: the account’s newest posts are still Friday’s shutdown notices, so there is no restoration window to plan around this weekend.
Single-player is not the casualty. The servers carry the multiplayer side. As Eurogamer reported, that means invasions, where a stranger drops into your world, and summon signs, the requests for help that other players leave behind, are out for now.
Due to a server issue, the game servers for the following titles will be temporarily unavailable on all platforms.

We will provide updates once we have information regarding the server restoration time.
We apologize for the inconvenience.

FromSoftware has been here before: it ran scheduled maintenance for Dark Souls II on Wednesday, October 28 and resumed that service the same day. The last time the whole series lost its servers at once was 2022, when Bandai Namco took all three games offline over a security vulnerability. It also lands days after The Duskbloods slipped to 2027.
