Psychological mystery game Psycho-Sleuth is out now on PC via Steam, STOVE and the Epic Games Store, developer PHOSEPO and publishers Thermite Games and Smilegate STOVE announced today.

The game launches at $19.99 USD with a 10% launch discount for the first two weeks. A Deluxe Edition is also available for $35.99 (15% off at launch) and includes the official soundtrack and artbook. The soundtrack and artbook can also be purchased separately for $6.99 and $8.99 respectively, each with a 10% launch discount.

In Psycho-Sleuth, thirteen “Afflicted Ones” are trapped in a gothic cathedral by a mysterious cult. Each character carries a contagious cognitive disorder that distorts reality: OCD makes lying impossible, Spatial Neglect obscures half the crime scene, and Prosopagnosia conceals witness and killer identities alike. Players must gather clues, interrogate suspects, and expose the mastermind in life-or-death Debate Mode.

The game features full voice acting, hand-drawn Live2D animations, more than 40 CG illustrations, and 50 haunting compositions. Language support includes English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.

PHOSEPO is a five-person independent team previously behind Rail of Möbius. Thermite Games publishes titles such as Tales of the Neon Sea and LONESTAR, while Smilegate STOVE operates the global CROSSFIRE franchise. For more indie mystery games, see our indie coverage.

Launching on three PC storefronts simultaneously (Steam, STOVE, Epic) gives Psycho-Sleuth broad reach in Asia via STOVE and the West via Steam/Epic, a smart move for a narrative mystery game where word of mouth drives long-tail sales. The cognitive-disorder hook is genuinely novel for the visual-novel mystery genre — most games use it as flavor text, but here it rewrites the investigation logic per case.

What cognitive disorder mechanic sounds most interesting to you: forced honesty from OCD, the half-blind crime scenes of Spatial Neglect, or the faceless witnesses of Prosopagnosia?
