Quick answer
Yes for Game Pass, and no announcement for PlayStation Plus. Sports Interactive’s own FAQ spells it out: for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass subscribers, FM27 (PC/Mac) is available from the Microsoft Store and the Xbox PC app. The same subscribers can play FM27 Console through the Microsoft Store or Xbox PC app. Football Manager 27 launches November 10, 2026. No official FM27 post mentions PlayStation Plus, and the studio says “details on further platforms will be confirmed at a later date”.
Which platforms is Football Manager 27 on?
Sports Interactive splits FM27 into three products, and the split is what decides your subscription.
| Product | Platforms | Where you buy it |
|---|---|---|
| FM27 (PC/Mac) | Windows and Mac, plus Xbox handheld devices | Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox PC app |
| FM27 Console | Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox handheld devices, PlayStation 5 | Xbox and PlayStation stores |
| FM27 Mobile | iOS and Android | Netflix, exclusively |
Two exclusions are official. FM27 will not come to Nintendo Switch, and there is no Xbox One, Xbox One X or Xbox One S version. Sports Interactive says that decision was made “to focus on maximising the game’s quality across all available platforms”.
Is Football Manager 27 on Game Pass?
Yes, on day one, and for both the PC version and the console version. Here is the studio’s answer in full: “For Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass subscribers, FM27 (PC/Mac) is available from the Microsoft Store and Xbox PC app. PC Game Pass or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can also play FM27 Console via the Microsoft Store or Xbox PC app.”
What that means on launch day:
- PC Game Pass gives you FM27 (PC/Mac) from November 10 through the Microsoft Store or the Xbox PC app.
- Xbox Game Pass Ultimate covers the same PC version, and the console edition as well.
- The console edition is the one PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players need, and Game Pass subscribers reach it on the Xbox side of the store.
One distinction is worth holding on to: FM27 Console and FM27 (PC/Mac) are separate products. A Game Pass subscription covers both for Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers, but a purchase of one does not buy the other. Sports Interactive has not published a tier-by-tier breakdown beyond the paragraph above, so treat anything more specific as unconfirmed.
Is Football Manager 27 on PlayStation Plus?
Not announced, and not on launch day as far as Sports Interactive has said. The FM27 FAQ says “details on further platforms will be confirmed at a later date”. The studio’s launch announcement lists Steam, Epic Games, the Xbox PC app, the Xbox and PS5 console editions and Netflix mobile as the day-one lineup, and PlayStation Plus is not in it.
There is precedent, though. Sports Interactive has already put an FM console edition on PlayStation Plus: its own FM26 Console announcement says FM26 Console sits in the PlayStation Plus Premium and Extra catalogues. FM27 Console is a separate product with its own launch, so a later PlayStation Plus drop is plausible. It is not a promise yet.
If you play on PS5 and want FM27 on launch day, the honest options are the console edition on the PlayStation Store or waiting for a subscription announcement. Our Release Calendar carries the November 10 date, and our Football Manager 27 game page keeps the platform list and store links in one place.
Can I play Football Manager 27 for free before November 10?
Yes, and the free window is the cheapest way to decide whether you want to buy it at all.
Sports Interactive’s Launch Preview announcement says FM27 is free to play on PC and Mac from 6 p.m. GMT on October 29 to 6 p.m. GMT on November 3, across Steam, Epic, the Microsoft Store, Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass, with no sign-up required and every game mode available. On Game Pass the preview is limited to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.
Three details make the preview low-risk. Careers you start carry into the paid preview and the finished game, so nobody restarts a save. The pre-purchase window opens at the same time, with 10% off the full game and continued Launch Preview access between 6 p.m. GMT on November 3 and the November 10 launch. And the catch sits in the small print: some club and player assets may be missing from the preview because licensing approvals are still being worked out.
Our FM27 launch preview story has the window in more detail.
What else lands on November 10?
- FM27 (PC/Mac) on Steam, Epic Games and the Xbox PC app, included for PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.
- FM27 Console on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox handheld devices and PS5.
- FM27 Mobile on iOS and Android, through Netflix.
- FM27 Touch on Apple Arcade from the same day, per Sports Interactive’s October 20 announcement. It is playable on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV, and it can continue saves from past titles and progress a career across devices in the cloud.
No price is public yet. Steam’s FM27 listing has no purchase box, and the studio says further platform details are still to follow.
What should a subscriber do before November 10?
- Play the preview on October 29. It is free on PC and Mac for five days, and it is the only way to try the new match engine before committing.
- Check which product you actually want. The PC/Mac game and the console game are separate, and only the console one runs on PS5.
- Do not pre-order if Game Pass covers you. If your subscription includes the version you play, buying on launch day means paying for the same thing twice.
- Wait for the PlayStation Plus news if you are on PS5. Nothing is announced, and the last console edition reached PS Plus after launch.
We analyzed Sports Interactive’s official FM27 posts on October 26, 2026: the launch announcement, the free Launch Preview announcement, the Apple Arcade announcement and the interface deep dive that carries the platform FAQ. Three of those four name Xbox Game Pass. The FAQ is the only place that spells out the split: PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate for FM27 (PC/Mac) on the Microsoft Store and Xbox PC app, with the same subscribers able to play FM27 Console there too. For example, the one question none of them answers is PlayStation Plus, and the studio’s own “further platform details” line is the only thing standing between that question and an answer. That is also why the FM26 precedent matters: Sports Interactive put FM26 Console in the PS Plus Premium and Extra catalogues after launch, so the same move for FM27 Console looks like a question of when rather than whether.
