Sonic x Shadow Generations Sells Over 3 Million Copies

SONIC X SHADOW GENERATIONS is a collection that has sold more than 3 million copies, the official Sonic the Hedgehog account said on Monday. In its sales announcement, the account credited players for pushing the game past the milestone.

The package pairs a new Shadow campaign with a complete remaster of Sonic Generations, according to Nintendo’s official product page. It launched for PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC in October 2024.

For example, Shadow’s campaign added a standalone story, new powers and a White Space hub, while the classic side included remastered stages and bonus content, according to PlayStation’s launch announcement.

For players, this is a sales milestone rather than a new release. The post did not announce a patch, bonus campaign or platform release to mark 3 million copies, and it did not provide a regional or platform sales breakdown.
