Chucky is leaving Dead by Daylight on November 24, 2026, according to the game’s official announcement: the Chucky Chapter and all of its content come out of the in-game and first-party stores that day. Anything you have already unlocked stays usable in the game, so the killer is not wiped from your inventory on the 24th.
The studio is marking the exit with a sale. The Chapter’s content goes on sale on all platforms starting Monday, October 26, which is the window to pick up the killer and its cosmetics before they are gone. The Chucky Chapter on Steam lists at $4.99, and the Chapter is what the sale covers.
Chucky arrived as the killer called The Good Guy, and the Steam listing dates the Chapter to November 28, 2023. Buying it unlocks the character plus an exclusive charm, the Good Guys Box. Dead by Daylight itself launched on June 14, 2016, and its licensed chapters are a big part of why the game still matters a decade on: Steam also lists Dead by Daylight chapters for Resident Evil, Silent Hill and Castlevania. The official store sells the base game on Steam, Epic Games, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, and through Microsoft for Xbox.
We welcomed The Good Guy out of his box and into The Fog nearly three years ago, but it's now time for the Chucky Chapter to leave the shelf.

The practical part is small and clear. If you want Chucky, the October 26 sale is the moment, and November 24 is the deadline rather than the start of a refund window. Anything bought before then keeps working, so there is no reason to wait if you already know you want the killer. Licensed killers are the reason Dead by Daylight has held together this long, and every chapter that leaves takes a piece of the game with it.
