Nintendo’s second Hello! Pikmin short movie, あこがれ, went live on Nintendo’s official channel this morning, and the Pikmin site has flagged it as new. The first short, #01 Frog, was published with the Pikmin Day Direct on October 31. This is the episode the Direct promised when it said Nintendo would release another short “tomorrow, then one more in November.”

The rest of the schedule is fixed too. “From December onward, we’ll release one video per month,” the Direct said, and Shigeru Miyamoto added that the films are made with Nintendo Pictures. That monthly drip runs straight into Pikmin 4 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy, which launches November 12 and sits on our November 2026 release list, with a free demo from November 2.

It is a Japan drop for now. The short sits on Nintendo’s Japanese channel, the Hello! Pikmin series page lives on Nintendo’s Japanese site, and Nintendo’s US Direct page still lists only #01 Frog. Nintendo has not given あこがれ an English title and has not said when the rest of the series reaches English channels. The official key art for the new short shows a yellow Pikmin on a garden path with red, blue and pink Pikmin nearby.

One more thing for today: Nintendo Treehouse Plays: Pikmin 4 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy runs at 9 a.m. PT, so there is more of the edition to watch in a couple of hours.
