November is the biggest month gaming has had in years, and the entire calendar bends around one date. Grand Theft Auto VI launches November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and the rest of the month is the dominoes falling on either side of it. Publishers moved their big November games earlier to clear space; some moved later to land once the launch window has cooled. Below is every dated release on our Release Calendar from November 1 through December 4, sorted by week, with platforms and what each game actually is. We counted 10 dated games on our Release Calendar between November 4 and December 4 as of October 16, plus the December titles that fall within a click of GTA 6.
This is the one we’ll keep updated: as soon as Rockstar confirms a midnight-local or simultaneous global unlock for GTA 6, and as soon as the smaller games below get final hours, we’ll add them here and link the dedicated guides. The Release Calendar is the live source.
Week of November 2: World of Warcraft, Zelda, and a museum-heist puzzle game
This is the most stacked week of the month before GTA 6.
- World of Warcraft: Forever (Nov 4, PC): Blizzard’s next chapter for WoW. The official announcement and the November 4 release date are on Blizzard’s news site, with platforms confirmed for PC only.
- The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Nov 5, Switch / Switch 2): Nintendo’s remake of the 1998 N64 classic for Switch 2. Our Zelda Ocarina of Time release date page has every confirmed fact, including a recent Nintendo ad that gave the first look at Dark Link (Nintendo Life).
- Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School (Nov 5, PS5, Xbox, PC): the puzzle-escape-room sequel from Coin Crew Games. The November 5 PS5 launch was confirmed in our Escape Academy 2 announcement coverage.
- Re-Volt (Nov 5, PS5, Switch): the first home console release of the 1999 RC racing classic. There’s a physical H2 Edition on Switch alongside the digital launch.
- Where the Seeds Fall (Nov 5, PS5, Switch 2, PC): the CygamesEdge debut title from Cygames’ Zereo team, priced at ¥1,100 with a demo already on Steam (appid 4139580). We covered the demo and the worldwide simultaneous launch in our Where the Seeds Fall story.
If you only buy one game this week, Zelda: Ocarina of Time is the biggest of the five by name recognition; World of Warcraft: Forever is the biggest by concurrent players. Re-Volt is the one to grab if you want a couch co-op RC racer for the holiday.
Week of November 9: Strategy, sim, and the Switch 2 ports keep coming
- DREADMOOR (Nov 9, PC): the gothic survival-craft roguelike from Weappy Studio. Steam (appid 3629430) is the only confirmed platform.
- Ashes of the Singularity II (Nov 10, PC): Oxide Games’ return to large-scale RTS. The $39.99 base and $69.99 Premium editions were revealed in our Ashes of the Singularity II launch coverage. Steam (appid 3499790) is the only platform at launch.
- Harold Halibut (Nov 12, Switch / Switch 2): the Slow Bros’ stop-motion narrative adventure finally gets a Switch 2 port, three years after the original 2024 launch on PC, PS5 and Xbox.
- Sonic Pico Park (Nov 12, Switch / Switch 2): the cooperative platformer based on Sonic the Hedgehog. The trailer is already on the Sonic the Hedgehog YouTube channel.
This is a quiet week by November standards. DREADMOOR is the early-access pick if you like survival-craft; Ashes of the Singularity II is the one for the strategy crowd.
Week of November 16: The slow week before GTA 6
- Grand Theft Auto VI (Nov 19, PS5, Xbox Series X|S): the biggest game of the year, the biggest game in years, and the reason every other November release moved where it did. The standard edition is $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition is $99.99, with the Vintage Vice City Pack and a free month of GTA+ on every digital pre-order. Our GTA 6 Pre-Order Guide walks through what’s in each edition and the upgrade path.
There are no other major releases between Sonic Pico Park on November 12 and GTA 6 on November 19. That’s the launch runway: a week of nothing, by design, so the conversation is GTA 6 and only GTA 6.
Beyond November: what spills into December
These aren’t strictly November, but they’re close enough that anyone planning around GTA 6 needs to know the surrounding dates.
- Edge of Memories (Dec 3, PS5, PC): Midgar Studio’s action RPG, delayed from November 5 to December 3 to avoid the GTA 6 launch window per our coverage.
- Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World (Dec 3, PS5, Xbox, Switch, PC): Square Enix’s creature-collecting RPG with a demo already on Steam (appid 3681610).
- FreeStyle Football 2 (Dec 3, PS5, Xbox, PC): the street-football sequel from Developer N Axis.
- Monster Hunter Wilds (Dec 4, Switch / Switch 2): Capcom’s open-world action RPG finally comes to Nintendo’s platform. Our Monster Hunter Wilds Switch 2 release date page has the details.
- Acts of Blood (Dec 4, PC): the Indonesian brawler with a PS5 and Xbox version coming in 2027.
If you’re saving GPU cycles or wallet space for GTA 6, Edge of Memories is the one to plan for first: it was originally November 5 and is now December 3 because the publisher didn’t want to launch into GTA 6 traffic. Monster Hunter Wilds on Switch 2 is the platform launch most players will be waiting on.
Our picks
If you only buy one November game: Grand Theft Auto VI on November 19. There’s no second answer for a question that obvious.
If you’re on Switch 2: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on November 5 is the headline, with Where the Seeds Fall as the smaller-but-ambitious pick.
If you’re a PC strategy player: Ashes of the Singularity II on November 10 is the only one this month. Pair it with DREADMOOR for the survival-craft fix.
If you’re saving for something specific: World of Warcraft: Forever for the MMO crowd, Escape Academy 2 for couch co-op puzzle fans, Re-Volt for the family, Sonic Pico Park for the kids’ party pile.
If you can only play one thing in late November: GTA 6. We’re not above repeating ourselves on the obvious answer.

FAQ
When does GTA 6 unlock?
Rockstar hasn’t published an unlock hour or time-zone model as of October 16, 2026. The release date is November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Our GTA 6 release time guide tracks the official unlock the moment it lands, and the GTA 6 hub collects every story we’ve run.
Is there a PC version of GTA 6?
Not announced. Rockstar has historically brought its games to PC after the console launch (GTA 5 reached PC about 19 months after the console launch in April 2015), so PC players should budget for a wait, not a surprise day-one port. The Nintendo Switch 2 version is also unannounced; Nintendo of America president Devon Pritchard told Variety in October that any port is “a conversation for Take-Two and Rockstar.”
What’s the biggest non-GTA 6 game in November 2026?
World of Warcraft: Forever on November 4 is the biggest by concurrent players, Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake on November 5 is the biggest by name recognition, and Escape Academy 2 on the same day is the biggest of the multiplatform AA releases. None of them is a real competitor to GTA 6 in November, which is why the rest of the month is so quiet around November 19.
Are any November 2026 games on Game Pass or PS Plus?
Xbox has confirmed Modern Warfare 4 is the only major launch in the Game Pass window this fall, with the Modern Warfare 4 Game Pass window opening in Holiday 2027. None of the November 2026 games on this list is a Microsoft or Sony first-party title, so Game Pass Extra / PS Plus Extra at launch is unlikely. The full day-one subscription list is in our Release Calendar once each publisher confirms.
Will November 2026 games be on Switch 2?
Five are: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Nov 5, Switch / Switch 2), Re-Volt (Nov 5, Switch), Sonic Pico Park (Nov 12, Switch / Switch 2), Where the Seeds Fall (Nov 5, Switch 2), and Monster Hunter Wilds (Dec 4, Switch / Switch 2). GTA 6 is not. Most of the November PC list stays on PC. The full platform matrix is in our Release Calendar.
Release dates can change, and they sometimes differ by region and storefront. We’ll update this list if publishers announce delays, and we add new games the moment they get an official date.
