Never Be Alone, the open-world zombie survival game from Timisoara-based Beast Studios, gets a free demo on Steam on October 19, 2026, timed to the Steam Next Fest kickoff. The demo was the headline of GameSpark’s October indie highlights column, and no English-language outlet had covered the launch as of publication.

Players wake from a coma ten years after a zombie outbreak and fight to keep a fragile safezone alive. The full Steam release launches into Early Access on December 8, 2026, with a story-driven campaign spanning three islands, more than 30 main missions, and over 1,000 lines of voice acting. The studio is targeting 11 distinct infected types including fast Sprinters, four-legged Ferals, toxic mutations, and the rare nocturnal Night Roamer.

Co-op is the headline feature: multiplayer scales to “as many players as the host computer can handle,” per the Steam listing, with shared exploration, vehicle travel, and base-building. Beast Studios lists the game at 185,000 Steam wishlists ahead of the demo. Solo play is also supported.

Can you play it in English?

Yes. The Steam page lists English with full audio support, alongside 30 additional text languages including Japanese, Korean, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, French, German, Spanish, Arabic, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), and Romanian. The Early Access launch is global on Steam (Windows only); no console port has been announced. The Steam Next Fest demo opens at 2 AM JST on October 20 in Japan (1 PM ET / 10 AM PT October 19 in the US).
