Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse unlocks on October 15, 2026 across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Konami’s official site lists the date as “Out October 15, 2026” without a specific clock time, which is the standard pattern for cross-platform console releases: each console version unlocks at midnight in your local time zone. PC players on Steam may see “October 14” on the store page; that’s a time-zone quirk in the store’s local-time display, not a separate launch day. The Steam version unlocks at 10 AM Pacific / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BST on October 15.
The Switch version ships the same day and runs on Switch 2 through backward compatibility, with 30fps rather than the 60fps target on other platforms. Konami’s Japanese Castlevania account confirmed the Switch date in July, and there’s no native Switch 2 edition announced. The Switch version is smaller too: 4 GB for Standard and 6 GB for Midnight, compared to 8 GB and 10 GB on the other platforms.
Two editions are up for pre-order. The Standard Edition is $29.99 / £24.99 / €29.99. The Midnight Edition is $39.99 / £34.99 / €39.99 and adds a cosmetic set, a digital art book, and the original soundtrack. Pre-orders are open at the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Nintendo eShop, and Steam.
The game ships with Japanese and English voice acting and text in 11 languages, including German, French, Italian, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and Korean. There’s a free demo on each platform’s store if you want to try the whip and the Arcana tarot-card system before launch day.
Belmont’s Curse is a brand-new 2D Castlevania from Konami, Evil Empire, and Motion Twin, set 23 years after Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse. You play as Rose Belmont, Trevor’s daughter, hunting through burning 1499 Paris with the Vampire Killer whip. Our read: the midnight-local-time launch means there’s no single moment for the whole world, so your local clock is the only one that matters. If you’re on Steam, the standard 10 AM Pacific / 1 PM ET unlock catches a lot of US players in the late morning. With a packed October, Belmont’s Curse is the biggest 2D Castlevania launch in years, and the Midnight Edition’s art book and soundtrack are the main reason to pay the upgrade.
