Quick answer: The Wolf Among Us Remastered costs $24.99 USD, and Telltale is running launch discounts from October 29 to November 12, 2026. Here is what you pay:
- New to Fabletown on Steam, Epic or Xbox: 20% off, about $19.99.
- Own the original digitally on the same store: 50% off, about $12.50.
- PS5 with PlayStation Plus: 20% off as a new player, 50% off if you own the original on PS4 digital.
- PS5 without PlayStation Plus: full price as a new player, 30% off (about $17.49) if you own the PS4 digital original.
The prices in dollars are our math on the $24.99 base price. Telltale’s own launch discount page lists the percentages, and it says prices and exact end times vary by region and store.
Price and discount by platform
Telltale and PM Studios put the price in their October 20 press release: $24.99 USD, “with launch discounts for new players and further discounts for digital owners of the original game.” The game launches October 29 on PlayStation 5, Xbox One (it runs on Xbox Series X|S through backward compatibility) and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
| Store | Who | New players | Owners of the original | Qualifying original |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Steam | Everyone | 20% off (about $19.99) | 50% off (about $12.50) | The Wolf Among Us on Steam |
| Epic Games Store | Everyone | 20% off (about $19.99) | 50% off (about $12.50) | The Wolf Among Us on Epic |
| Xbox | Everyone | 20% off (about $19.99) | 50% off (about $12.50) | The Wolf Among Us on Xbox One digital |
| PS5 | PlayStation Plus members | 20% off (about $19.99) | 50% off (about $12.50) | The Wolf Among Us on PS4 digital |
| PS5 | No PlayStation Plus | Full price ($24.99) | 30% off (about $17.49) | The Wolf Among Us on PS4 digital |
Dollar figures are our calculation from the $24.99 price, rounded to the cent. Your store may round differently or show a local currency price.
How to get the owner discount
Telltale’s page sets two conditions. You have to buy the remaster on the same platform store, with the same account, that you used to buy the original. And only digital copies count: the page says physical copies of the original can’t be verified, so they don’t qualify.
The store handles the rest, according to Telltale:
- Steam: the owner price shows automatically on the store page.
- Epic Games Store: the price shows on the store page and is applied at checkout.
- Xbox: the discount is applied automatically at checkout, and owners with Xbox notifications turned on also get an alert.
- PS5: the owner price shows automatically on the store page, and PlayStation Plus savings apply automatically for members.
If you own the original on Steam and want to play on PS5, the owner deal won’t follow you across stores. You would pay the new-player price on PlayStation.
When the discounts start and end
Telltale’s page says the offer runs from October 29 to November 12, 2026, and “starts and ends at 6 AM PT.” We converted that: it starts Thursday, October 29 at 6 AM PT, which is 8 AM Central, 9 AM Eastern and 1 PM GMT. It ends Thursday, November 12 at 6 AM PT, which is 9 AM Eastern and 2 PM GMT, because US clocks have gone back by then.
Telltale hasn’t said when the game itself goes live on each store. For the unlock moment by region, see our Wolf Among Us Remastered release time page.
Is there a Switch version or a physical copy?
The Nintendo Switch version is not in the launch window. Telltale’s discount page says the release is coming soon and that Switch discounting “will be communicated in the near future,” and our Switch delay report has the studio’s statement.
A physical copy is on the way, but not in time for launch. The press release says physical retail editions will follow in early 2027, with details to come.
Try the first episode free
The press release says a free Steam demo with the complete first episode, “Faith,” runs during Steam Next Fest through October 26. If you aren’t sure the remaster is worth $25, that’s the cheapest way to find out before the discount window opens. Telltale’s Steam page lists the game as single-player with full controller support.
What you get for the price
The release is one product on each store, with no tiered editions announced. Telltale’s press release lists a new Noir Mode that turns the game black and white, five fully playable Lost Scenes, an art gallery of more than 100 images and more than an hour of developer interviews. Our PC specs and Steam Deck guide covers the hardware side, and our release date and features post covers the rest of the changes.
We worked the dollar prices out from Telltale’s discount table, and the split on PlayStation is the part to read twice. A PS5 owner without Plus pays $24.99 as a new player, while a Plus member pays about $19.99, so the subscription is worth about $5 on this game either way. Owners see the same gap: about $12.50 with Plus and about $17.49 without it. On Steam, Epic and Xbox nobody needs a subscription, and the owner discount is the better deal: you pay half price for a remastered version of a game you already know. If you have never played it, 20% off is a modest saving on a $24.99 game, so the free demo is a fair test before you buy.
The Wolf Among Us 2 is set for 2027 according to the press release, and the remaster is the way to get ready for it.
