Pokémon Sleep‘s Halloween 2026 event, branded “Double Ameri-Search,” runs from October 26 at 4:00 AM JST through November 2 at 3:59 AM JST, The Pokémon Company announced today. The eight-day window adds Ghost-type Muma (Duskull) and Muumaージ (Dusclops) to sleep research starting October 26 at 3:00 PM JST, alongside a purple-hatted Halloween Eievui (Eevee) variant and a candy bonus that triples on Halloween itself.

Pokémon Sleep is the mobile sleep-tracking app where Snorlax is the central Pokémon and your sleep style each morning determines the day’s research score. Players track their sleep each night to attract Pokémon to one of several research fields; the strongest location in the Halloween event is Wakakusa Main Island, the app’s starter field, plus its harder EX variant. The new Ghosts also appear on Unohana Snowfield and Gold Old Power Plant when your sleep type is うとうと, the “dozing” sleep type.

Muma and Muumaージ’s main skill is Magical Flame (Cooking Advance S), which adds pot capacity to the next cooking session and improves the great-cooking success rate until you next cook or change field. Ghost-type support Pokémon get the real buffs during the event: +1 ingredient on help, 1.25x main skill trigger chance, and +3 main skill level on activation. Snorlax’s favorite berry pool locks one slot to a Bliri berry (the Ghost-type favorite), with the rest randomized.

Candy bonuses stack on top of those Ghost boosts:

  • October 26 to October 30: 2x candy on the first sleep research of the day
  • October 31 (Halloween) and November 1 (event’s final full day): 3x candy on the first sleep research

The pickup list is heavy on Ghost-types: large-pickup are Eievui (Halloween), Muma, and Muumaージ, with Pikachu (Halloween) at medium and Gastly, Haunter, Gengar, Kagebowuz, Jubetta, Fuwante, Fuwaride, Pumpkaboo, Gourgeist, Mimikyu, and Raudobone at small. Gengar appears on Wakakusa Main Island and EX only during the event window, and the Halloween Eievui’s incense (おこう, the in-game item used to attract a specific Pokémon) unlocks starting October 26 at 3:00 PM JST.

Our read: Pokémon Go’s Halloween 2026 Part II, covered by Pixel Herald earlier this month, ran the same week with shiny Greavard debuts and a Mega Sableye bump (Pokemon Go’s Halloween 2026 Part II). Sleep’s variant is more selective on the candy curve than Go’s typical event bonuses: most of the week is 2x, with the 3x ceiling reserved for the actual Halloween day and the day after, instead of a flat 2x-plus boost. The Phasmophobia Crimson Eye Halloween event, which returned this month after a 30-million-sales push (Phasmophobia crosses 30 million), is the closest non-mobile parallel for Western players who want a Halloween hook without a sleep tracker.

Candy bonus schedule:

Date JST UTC Candy on 1st research
Oct 26-30 04:00 → day 2x Standard
Oct 31 (Halloween) 04:00 → day 3x 1.5x normal
Nov 1 (last full day) 04:00 → day 3x 1.5x normal
Nov 2 end at 03:59 — Event ends

Can you play it in English?

Yes. Pokémon Sleep is a global iOS and Android app from The Pokémon Company, and the Halloween event runs on the same dates worldwide. In US time zones that is October 25 at 3:00 PM ET through November 1 at 2:59 PM ET. The English-language news feed on pokemonsleep.net had not posted the event as of publication, but The Pokémon Company’s Japanese site announced it today and the global app updates in parallel. There is no Pokémon Sleep version on Switch or PS5; the app is iOS and Android only.
