PEAK, the co-op climbing game that dominated streams in 2025, looks like it is finally headed to consoles. A new ESRB (the US video game age rating board) listing for the game on PlayStation has appeared, and Push Square reports the rating effectively confirms the long-rumored console port after a year and change of PC exclusivity.

According to the official Steam page, PEAK is “a co-op climbing game where the slightest mistake can spell your doom. Either solo or as a group of lost nature scouts, your only hope of rescue from a mysterious island is to scale the mountain at its center.” The game first launched on Steam on June 16, 2025, as a collaboration between Aggro Crab (the studio behind Another Crab’s Treasure, which Blumhouse and MatPat are adapting into a movie) and Landfall Games (the Swedish team behind the Totally Accurate Battle Simulator series). The game became one of 2025’s surprise hits, with a final-ascent update this summer that took the player count to new highs. It has remained PC-only since launch.

The port lands in a console market that has been noticeably weak in 2026, with US console sales hitting new lows as PS5 and Xbox prices reached record highs. Smaller indies have been filling the gap: Alpha Nomos launched on PS5 and Xbox this month, Escape Academy 2 confirmed a PS5 release, and BlazBlue: Central Fiction made its PS5 debut with rollback netcode. Co-op on console is also picking up: Sonic Pico Park arrives on Switch and Switch 2 in November. PEAK is the biggest of that group by a wide margin.

The ESRB listing does not include a release date, and Aggro Crab and Landfall Games have not yet posted an official announcement on the studios’ Bluesky or Steam channels. Push Square’s reporting is the first concrete sign that a port is actually in the works. Once a developer confirms it, expect a date, a price and a closer look at how the four-player climbing loop adapts to a controller. PEAK is still available on Steam.

Our read: PEAK is a small game that knows exactly what it is. Drop in with friends, fall off a cliff, laugh, try again. The reason the port has taken this long is probably that the team kept shipping free updates instead of splitting focus. If a console port is finally coming, the smart move is to keep the content cadence going on PC and let the port catch up.
