PlayStation’s official YouTube channel posted a launch trailer for Alpha Nomos this morning, marking the PS5 release of RibCage Games‘ debut rhythm-action roguelike. The game is out today, October 12, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, with a launch sale bringing the $17.99 PC price to $16.19 for the first week.
In Alpha Nomos, players control Cello as she explores a music-destroyed world, fights murderous puppets, and chases answers about the force that broke everything. Combat is locked to the beat: strikes land harder on the downbeat, and weaving quick eighth notes and rests between hits chains show-stopping combos. RibCage Games describes the roguelike runs as layering musical power-ups that change not just the build, but the soundtrack itself.
The PS5 version uses the DualSense controller with haptics and adaptive triggers, per the developer’s console announcement. The PC build supports 23 languages, full controller input, and 12 Steam Achievements. Console prices weren’t posted on PlayStation’s or Microsoft’s storefronts at the time of writing. RibCage Games‘ own news post confirms the same-day launch across all three platforms, alongside an existing 2-month-old console announcement trailer on PlayStation’s channel and an “Official Release Date Trailer” on the Steam page.
