Drova II: Torn Lands is the standalone sequel to indie action-RPG Drova: Forsaken Kin, and publisher Deck13 Spotlight and developer Just2D have announced it for a 2027 launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and GOG. The reveal came with an announcement trailer this morning, and the Steam page is live now with screenshots and a wishlist button.
The new game picks up after the events of the first title. The Divinities of the Otherworld have been freed, and the Mist has revealed the Torn Lands, an all-new world led by two ancient tribes that survived the Dark Fog. Magic has returned to Drova, but a dangerous wound remains: a ravine that splits the lands in two. Players will eventually choose between two factions built around their Divinity, the Bear Mother or the Great Ram, each with its own culture and fighting style. Those choices shape how the story unfolds and ends.
Drova: Forsaken Kin is the 2024 original from Just2D. It launched on PC on October 15, 2024, and has since rolled out to consoles. Deck13 Spotlight is the publishing label of Deck13, which is handling the multi-platform release of the sequel. The sequel keeps the standalone pitch: no requirement to have played the first game, just a new story in the same world.
Our read: the original Drova found its niche by mixing pixel-art action-RPG combat with a faction-driven story. The sequel looks to push the same formula into a wider world with a clear two-faction choice running through the campaign. The wide platform list, with last-gen consoles alongside Switch and PC, signals that Deck13 Spotlight is targeting the broadest possible installation base rather than the current-gen-only crowd. The 2027 window is wide enough for wishlists to expect a more concrete date sometime next year.
For context, the same week has brought other indie multi-platform reveals, and our recent PEAK crossplay port and Forge of the Fae’s March 2027 window show how the indie calendar is filling the spring and summer of next year.
