Hitman: Absolution – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Launches October 22 With 60fps Mode and Free Upgrade

Hitman: Absolution is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on October 22, 2026, Feral Interactive announced today. The Switch 2 Edition launches as both a standalone purchase and an Upgrade Pack for current owners of the original Switch version.

For a limited time at launch, owners of Hitman: Absolution on Switch can download the Upgrade Pack from the eShop for free. From November 5, that upgrade will cost $9.99 / €4.99 / £4.99. Players buying fresh on Switch 2 get a 25% launch discount at $29.99 / €24.99 / £19.99; the price moves to $39.99 / €29.99 / £24.99 from November 5.

The Switch 2 Edition raises the output resolution in both handheld and TV modes and adds a new Performance graphical preset targeting 60fps in each. Feral says it has reworked animations and visual effects for richer environments, and Joy-Con mouse support is included. Contracts mode is available on day one, letting players design and share assassination challenges online.

Feral Interactive handled the Switch 2 port; original developer IO Interactive remains the publisher of record across the franchise. The original Switch release of Hitman: Absolution stays on the eShop for anyone who prefers the 2012-era experience. A launch trailer for the Switch 2 Edition is on Feral Interactive’s YouTube channel, and a full feature breakdown is on the Feral Blog.
