CONTROL Resonant has sold 1 million copies, Remedy Entertainment said on October 15. The studio posted a short thank-you on its Steam News page crediting players, co-publisher Annapurna, and the broader development team. The milestone lands roughly three weeks after the game’s September 24 launch on Steam.

CONTROL Resonant is Remedy Entertainment’s follow-up to the 2019 supernatural action game CONTROL, with Annapurna returning as co-publisher. The franchise sits alongside Alan Wake as one of Remedy’s flagship series, and the studio’s Remedy Connected Universe has tied the two worlds together through shared narrative beats.

Hitting 1 million in three weeks is a strong opening for the new entry, and a healthy launch typically lines up with more post-launch support. It also puts CONTROL Resonant in a growing club of recent fast-sellers: Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve reached 1M fastest in its series, and How to Fish hit 1M in two days back in August. Remedy’s announcement was brief and did not include platform breakdowns, DLC plans, or sales figures for additional platforms.

Recent fast 1M milestones:

Game Launch 1M milestone
How to Fish Aug 2026 In 2 days
Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve Oct 2, 2026 Fastest in series history
CONTROL Resonant Sep 24, 2026 In about 3 weeks

The studio’s full Steam News post reads: “CONTROL Resonant has sold one million copies. On behalf of everyone at Remedy Entertainment, Annapurna, and all our friends and partners, thank you for the support. For playing, sharing, and being a part of the community.”

Our read: A 1M-in-three-weeks start is a clean signal that the supernatural shooter series still has a real audience, and it gives Remedy a financial base to keep investing in the franchise. For players, that usually means more post-launch story content and a healthier likelihood of platform expansion, though Remedy has not announced any DLC or additional platforms yet. The Remedy Connected Universe is a long-term bet, so the studio has every reason to keep Resonant in the news cycle. Watch the Steam page for any retail deluxe edition discount, and the studio’s social channels for the inevitable roadmap update.
