It is a slow Monday for new launches, which means it is a good day to spend the $20 in your wallet. Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced is $19.79 on Steam, Sifu is $9.99, and Red Dead Redemption 2 is back to $14.99. Both Steam key giveaways from yesterday’s Deal Radar (Pony Island and Fireside Feelings) end tonight at 11:59 PM local time, so claim those before they do. Every price below was pulled from the store in the last hour. (For context on the other end of the catalog, the Release Radar: Castlevania Returns to 2D, Enshrouded Hits 1.0, and Every Big Game Out This Week (Oct 12-Oct 18) post covers what is launching this week at full price.)

- Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced: at Steam (-56%), Metacritic 96. Rockstar’s 2025 refresh of GTA V’s PC version, with ray-traced reflections, faster load times, and the same Los Santos and GTA Online that have been filling servers for over a decade. The cheapest GTA V has been on PC in a while.
- Red Dead Redemption 2: at Steam (-75%), Metacritic 97, around 715,000 Mostly Positive Steam reviews. Rockstar’s 2018 western still has one of the highest Metacritic scores of any open-world game, and this is the deepest cut it has had in 2026.
- Sifu: at Steam (-75%), Metacritic 81, around 32,000 Very Positive Steam reviews. Sloclap’s kung-fu brawler about aging one year for every death, and the only $10 game on this list where every hit lands like a real fight.
- Palworld: at Steam (-30%), more than 415,000 Steam reviews. Pocketpair’s 2024 open-world survival with creature collection, still one of the most-played games on Steam. The cut is shallower than the rest, but it is also the only live-service game in the bunch and the only one with hundreds of thousands of concurrent players today.
- Core Keeper: at Steam (-40%), Metacritic 78, around 60,000 Mostly Positive Steam reviews. Pugstorm’s 2D co-op mining-and-farming sim, the closest thing to a Terraria-with-friends game that exists in 2026.
- ARC Raiders: at Steam (-50%), launch sale. Embark Studios’ extraction shooter launched October 9, 2026, so this is a launch-week discount rather than a holiday sale. For a three-day-old game, a 50% cut is rare, and a fair one to call in if you have been on the fence.
- Risk of Rain 2: Alloyed Collective: at Steam (-35%). Hopoo Games’ Alloyed Collective DLC for Risk of Rain 2, which adds the Acolyte survivor and a stacked season worth of new content. Skip if you do not already own the base game; the DLC alone is not enough.
Skip it
- Permafrost: ~~$24.99~~ $19.99 at Steam (-20%), ends October 23. Toplitz Productions’ first-person survival sim launched October 9, 2026, so this is a three-day-old game already on sale for 20% off. Full-price survival sims almost always hit 40%+ within a month, and 20% is a marketing discount, not a deal. If a frozen-wasteland survival sim sounds good, wait two weeks and it will probably be half off.
Our read: the headline of the day is Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced at $19.79. The Enhanced refresh is the version you actually want (it replaced the older GTA V on Steam in 2025), 56% off is a real cut, and the price is low enough to forgive the ten-year-old core. Red Dead Redemption 2 at $14.99 is the deeper discount and the better game by Metacritic, but it has been at this price twice in the last week, so it is not a flash sale. Sifu is the one to grab if you have a friend over tonight: $9.99 for a 15-hour kung-fu campaign is the kind of value that does not come around often. For free, the two Steam key giveaways (Pony Island and Fireside Feelings) end in a few hours, so the urgent call is to claim those first; Out of Sight and TerraScape have until Thursday. The one to skip is Permafrost: a 20% discount on a survival sim that has been out for three days is the publisher testing the floor, not a real deal.
