Two free PC games on Epic, a Steam freebie that ends this weekend, and Red Dead Redemption 2 for less than the price of a movie ticket and popcorn. Here’s what’s worth your money today. Every price below was checked against the store on October 9.
Free right now
- Out of Sight (Epic Games Store): free until October 15 at 10 a.m. CT. An atmospheric horror puzzle adventure: you play Sophie, a blind girl who sees through her teddy bear’s eyes. Metacritic 80, and Very Positive on Steam. Claim it and it’s yours to keep.
- TerraScape (Epic Games Store): also free until October 15 at 10 a.m. CT. A cozy medieval city-puzzler about building kingdoms on floating islands, with single- and multiplayer modes.
- Pony Island (Steam): normally $4.99 and free to keep until October 12. A short, devious puzzle game that’s much stranger than its name suggests, from the developer who later made Inscryption.
Coming next on Epic, from October 15 to 22: Bad Cheese and Agent A: A Puzzle in Disguise.

Not on sale, but worth watching
Big Walk is only 20% off ($15.99, until October 15), so it isn’t a headline discount. It does have a Metacritic 91 and an Overwhelmingly Positive Steam rating since its August launch. If you were waiting for any price drop on the co-op hit of the summer, this is it.
