This is the best weekend to fill a few wishlist holes: Sloclap’s Sifu is at $9.99 on Steam, Paradox’s Europa Universalis IV is at $4.99 on GOG at a 90% cut, and Teyon’s RoboCop: Rogue City is at $4.49 on Steam, which is the lowest price the 2023 licensed shooter has hit since launch. There are also two games going free for a few days. Every price below was live in the last hour.

Free right now

  • Out of Sight (Epic Games Store): free through October 15. A short, atmospheric second-person adventure about a blind girl and her dog searching a dark mansion. Metacritic 80, around 2 to 3 hours long, the kind of small experiment that justifies a Wednesday afternoon.
  • Pony Island (Steam giveaway, via GamerPower, and free on Steam): free through October 12. A short, freewheeling puzzle game dressed up as a fake arcade machine. Metacritic 86. The Steam store page is also at 100% off right now, so there are two routes to a free key.

Best deals today

  • Sifu: ~~$39.99~~ $9.99 at Steam (−75%), ends October 15. Sloclap’s kung-fu roguelike about aging one year for every death. Hits its all-time low and the most generous cut it has ever had. Plays beautifully on a Steam Deck.
  • Europa Universalis IV: ~~$49.99~~ $4.99 at GOG (−90%). Paradox’s grand-strategy classic, the right price for a 12-year-old game that still eats entire weekends. If you have ever typed “maybe this winter” into a Paradox cart, this is the moment.
  • RoboCop: Rogue City: ~~$44.99~~ $4.49 at Steam (−90%), ends October 22. The official RoboCop FPS from 2023 with Peter Weller voicing the title role. This is the deepest cut the game has ever had, well below its usual $9.99 to $14.99 sale range.
  • The Talos Principle: ~~$29.99~~ $4.49 at Humble (−85%). Croteam’s philosophical first-person puzzler and one of the smartest single-player games of the 2010s. Metacritic 85.
  • Darkest Dungeon: ~~$24.99~~ $3.74 at Humble (−85%). The gothic stress-test roguelike. If you bounced off it the first time, the price is right for a second attempt with the Crimson Court and Color of Madness DLCs on your list too.
  • Sid Meier’s Pirates!: ~~$9.99~~ $1.49 at GOG (−85%). The 2004 open-world pirate RPG is still the best 10 hours you can spend at sea on a weekend. Metacritic 88.
  • The Knightling: ~~$29.99~~ $4.79 at Steam (−84%). A bright action-adventure about a young squire whose mentor’s shield goes missing. Metacritic 80 and the right kind of game for an evening in.

Skip it

  • ARC Raiders: ~~$39.99~~ $19.99 at Steam (−50%), ends October 15. A 50% cut sounds good, but 50% off is a recurring sale price rather than a one-time event. The bigger flag is Steam reviews, which sit in Mixed territory and have not moved in months. If you want a fresh extraction shooter at a real discount, wait for the next bigger cut or just play the demo.

Our read: if you only buy one of these, make it Sifu at $9.99. The 75% cut is the deepest it has ever been, the game is short enough for a single weekend, and the late-game boss fights are still a real workout on a controller. The 90% cut on RoboCop: Rogue City is the one to grab before October 22 if you were waiting for a real price. The two free games go away this week, so claim Out of Sight on Epic and the Pony Island Steam key now rather than later.

Correction (October 10, 2026): Updated October 10, 2026 at 12:45 PM ET: Pony Island is now 100% off (Free) on its Steam store page in addition to the GamerPower key giveaway, so there are two ways to claim it. Replaced the unsourced '50% off for most of 2026' ARC Raiders line with a more accurate recurring-sale framing. Removed unsourced Sifu boss names ('White Panther and Sankyo') from the Our read section.
