Hokko Spaces launches on October 29 for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam, publisher Team17 said on its official Bluesky account on Wednesday. Hokko Spaces is a gentle, creative sandbox experience where you design miniature, diorama-style scenes inspired by Hokko Life, the 2022 cozy life sim from Swedish studio Wonderscope Games.
Team17 framed the new game as a build-and-decorate loop built around miniature worlds, with villagers wandering into your spaces and interacting with whatever you place. The Team17 post teases the same gentle, decoration-heavy loop Hokko Life players already know, with seasonal inlets and weather you can tweak to set the mood of each little world. The Switch version lands the same day as Titanium Court’s multi-platform launch, and Switch 2 players who already snapped up House Flipper 2 at $39.99 will recognize the decoration-plus-sandbox vibe.
A release-date trailer, shared alongside the announcement, is up on YouTube but currently sitting behind a YouTube anti-bot check that prevents us from embedding it. A free demo for Hokko Spaces has been live on Steam since October 6, and the studio has been collecting wishlists ahead of launch. Pricing wasn’t included in the post, and the Steam page still lists October 29 as coming soon without a price.
Our read: Hokko Spaces is one of the calmest late-October launches on the calendar. If you’ve been waiting for a quieter, decoration-first sandbox to play between bigger releases like Re-Volt’s Switch and PlayStation launch on November 5, this is one to circle on the calendar. Check the full release calendar for everything shipping that week.
