Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’s single-player campaign unlocks October 16, 2026, a week before the full game arrives on October 23, Call of Duty announced from its official Bluesky account on October 15.
The post reads: “The next chapter is almost here. Let everyone discover what happens next on their own. #MW4 Campaign Early Access begins October 16. Time to Go Dark.” The post does not name which editions qualify for the early window or whether it requires an additional purchase; Activision’s earlier editions post for the game is the only place that has historically listed such perks.
Modern Warfare 4 launches on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Standard is $69.99 and the Vault Edition is $99.99. Pre-loads for the full game opened at 9 PM PT on October 14, and our release-time guide lists the exact unlock windows per region for the October 23 launch.
Multiplayer fans get Shipment on October 27 and Season 1 on November 6 per Activision’s roadmap post, so the first weekend will run campaign and multiplayer side by side for the first time.
