007 First Light will arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 on March 18, 2027, giving Switch 2 owners the first portable version of IO Interactive’s 2026 James Bond action-adventure nearly five months after the game debuted on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. Pre-orders open today, and anyone who buys the Switch 2 Deluxe Edition up front gets an exclusive Goldeneye Suit cosmetic inspired by the 1965 Sean Connery film.

IO Interactive announced the Switch 2 release on the official 007 First Light site, where the studio also opened pre-orders through Nintendo.com and a wide list of European and Australian retailers. The Switch 2 launch follows the game’s May 27, 2026 release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, where it has since rolled out post-launch content including the Year One roadmap, the free Extended Operations DLC, and the Valhalla Protocol mission pack. Gematsu was first to report the date on Wednesday afternoon.

IO Interactive confirmed 4 million copies sold across PS5, Xbox, and PC on August 27, 2026, per the company’s official press room. That pace puts 007 First Light in the same first-year tier as recent big Switch 2 ports like Hitman World of Assassination and It Takes Two, the latter of which launched on Switch 2 in early October (release time here). IO Interactive’s CFO told investors on the Q2 2026 call that a Switch 2 version of an already-running game usually adds 15-20% to its first-year installation base. That math would put 007 First Light on track for 5 million copies by next summer.

The Switch 2 Deluxe Edition packs four exclusive outfits, the Gleaming Pack, and one new weapon skin, on top of the standard game. The Goldeneye Suit pre-order bonus is a nod to the earliest Bond films. It joins the in-game cosmetic lineup, which already includes a tuxedo outfit, a Bulldog dog companion, and the World of Assassination crossover rewards that IO Interactive shared with HITMAN World of Assassination earlier this year.

The Switch 2 version is being published by IO Interactive itself. IO Interactive is the Copenhagen-based studio that owns the 007 First Light license through an arrangement with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios. Pricing for the Standard and Deluxe editions was not in IO Interactive’s announcement. The company’s official Switch 2 listing links through to Nintendo.com, where pricing will be set at the regional level when pre-orders go live.

The March 18, 2027 date puts 007 First Light among the bigger Western third-party ports confirmed for Switch 2 in the spring window. Other recent Switch 2 launch news includes Hazelight’s It Takes Two on Switch 2, FreeStyle Football 2’s December 3 multi-platform launch, and Ashes of the Singularity II’s November 10 PC strategy return. A Switch 2 release-time page for 007 First Light will go up on Pixel Herald once Nintendo.com lists an unlock hour.
