Street Fighter 6 is a 2023 Capcom fighting game whose Arjun update is live today on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, the official PlayStation launch trailer confirms. The update puts a new Year 4 character on the roster and starts a fresh Battle Tour.

Arjun is a fighter players can pick up on his own with Fighter Coins, and anyone holding the Year 4 Character Pass or Year 4 Ultimate Pass gets him automatically. The update ships with three pieces of single-player content built around the new character: Combo Trials, a Character Guide, and an Arcade Mode story that digs into Arjun’s background. C. Viper also gets Outfit 4, and Avatar Arcade gains new Special Moves and Battle Tour content.

The official Street Fighter YouTube channel published the same launch trailer at the same time. The Arjun Gameplay Reveal Trailer went up a month ago on the same channel. That one-month gap is how Capcom has run every Year 4 reveal so far: a gameplay trailer first, then the actual launch.

The same Day 1 update cadence is the wider pattern of late-2026 live-service drops. We have covered Hytale’s first major content drop, Ravenswatch adding Kintarō as a hero, and Pokemon Go’s Halloween 2026 Part II adding Shiny Greavard and a new Mega Sableye level, all in the last week.

Our read: For competitive players, a Day 1 launch means a new matchup to learn in ranked right away. Combo Trials give a lower-stakes way to lab him out before jumping online. For everyone else, Outfit 4 for C. Viper and the Avatar Arcade drop are the reason to log in this week even if you never pick Arjun. Pass holders also get a clear new fight without paying extra, which is the long-tail support pattern Capcom has run since the game launched. Day 1 character launches are also the rare piece of the release calendar that drops on a Monday rather than Tuesday or Thursday, so the SF6 community effectively got a free head start on the week.
