Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is closing out its Season 3 character roster with a Tekken crossover. SNK announced on October 9 that Reina, the Mishima Polytechnical School student who debuted in Tekken 8, will join CotW in December as the sixth and final Season 3 DLC fighter.
Reina rounds out a seven-character Season 3 slate that’s been rolling out since launch: Rick Strowd, Duck King, and Kim Kaphwan are already available, Tokyo Revengers duo Manjiro Sano and Ken Ryuguji are due in October, Laocorn follows in November, and Reina lands the closer in December. Her voice cast is Kate Clarke in English and Asami Seto in Japanese. SNK producer Shinya Tamaki said in a Nintendo Life report that the team is “really hard at work making sure both Fatal Fury fans and Tekken fans are just going to love playing as Reina.”
In Tekken 7, Geese Howard went the other way as a guest fighter; SNK is now calling the Reina swap a “dream crossover” between the two franchises. Per the press release, her fast, aggressive Tekken style has been rebuilt around CotW’s REV System, so her pressure and stance play should feel native to South Town rather than bolted on. Season Pass 3 is on sale now for $19.99 and includes all seven Season 3 characters.
There’s also a Switch 2 demo arriving on October 22, the same day the Switch 2 edition of the game goes on sale. The Switch 2 standard edition and a $29.99 Starter Edition with all three season passes are open for pre-order, and a physical Starter Edition is slated for January 21, 2027. The base game is already live on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.
Our read
This is the cleanest fighting-game crossover of the year: SNK and Bandai Namco each get a character to play with, both fan bases get a fresh main, and the Switch 2 release is timed to Nintendo’s fall window alongside Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse on October 15 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on October 23. The DLC cadence here (one guest a month from October through December) is the same multi-season pattern Sega is running with Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Year Two and is one of the better arguments for live-service fighters right now.
If you’re new to CotW, the Switch 2 demo lands right when the platform version does. If you’ve been waiting for the full Season 3 lineup before committing, you’ve got about six weeks until Reina arrives. Per the October release list, it’s one of the busier months in a while.
