Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is getting a second year of crossover DLC starting November 3, Sega announced during the World Championship Finals showcase on October 9. The lineup leads with Godzilla, runs through Evangelion, Hello Kitty, and Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and ends with a Persona 5 pack in late 2027.
A season pass is a one-time purchase that bundles a year of paid DLC. Season Pass Two costs $29.99 and bundles all six paid DLC packs, plus a SEGA Controller Decals Pack and a SEGA Consoles Pack with Genesis, Saturn and Dreamcast-themed machines. The first wave (November 2026 through March 2027) is the Godzilla and Evangelion packs, alongside three free additions: Bayonetta, a McLaren Racing crossover, and Aigis from Persona 3. Five more unannounced free characters are also promised between April and December 2027.
The Godzilla pack arrives November 3 with a “Godzilla Escape” course and the Godzilla Cruiser, King Ghidorah Coupe, and Mothra Surf machines. The January 2027 Evangelion pack adds a Tokyo-III course, racers Rei Ayanami and Asuka Shikinami Langley, and three EVA mechs as machines. Q2 2027 brings the Virtual Sanrio Puroland pack with Hello Kitty and Kuromi as racers, followed by a SEGALAND pack themed around Sega’s arcade history (vehicles based on After Burner, OutRun, and the Super Megalo). Q3 and Q4 2027 round out the year with a Final Fantasy 7 Remake “Midgar” pack and a Persona 5 “Reload Revival Royal” pack, both still officially working-titled. Buyers of both Season Passes get Super Shadow and the Super Dark Flare machine as a bonus.
Sega also announced a permanent price drop across all platforms: the standard edition drops to $39.99 and the Digital Deluxe to $59.99. The DLC packs will be sold individually as well, as was the case with the first year of content, which featured Mega Man, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, SpongeBob SquarePants, and other crossover partners.
Our read: we analyzed the prices in Sega’s wrap-up, and with the base game now $39.99, the standard edition plus Season Pass Two costs about $70 together. That’s the price of one new full-price game for two years of racers. If you only want Godzilla or Sonic’s Sega history, wait and buy those packs alone.
The first round of Season Pass Two content lands November 3. It’s one of several big crossovers this fall; see what else is coming on our Release Calendar and in the Morning Save Point briefing.
