Heart of the Machine‘s first expansion, Kinship, is out now on PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store for $14.99. The DLC, published by Hooded Horse and developed by Arcen Games, adds hours of new quests and storylines that touch every phase of the base game’s sentient-AI campaign, including three new endings and a spread of branching side-narratives.
Kinship leans into the relationships players can build inside the dystopian city: uplifting new creatures to trust The Machine Intelligence, brokering peace between the humans’ religious sects and their off-world counterparts, and watching family bonds reshape the criminal underworld. New structures, unlockable equipment, and new enemies round out the additions.
A 10% launch discount runs through October 26, which drops Kinship to $13.49. A supporter pack with the soundtrack and a set of wallpapers is also available from today. The base game, Heart of the Machine, is on PC for $29.99 and is localized in English, German, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.
A console release has not been announced.
