Beyond These Stars Launches With 250K Wishlists and PC Game Pass Today

Beyond These Stars, the cosmic city builder from Hooded Horse and Balancing Monkey Games, is out today on PC and PC Game Pass, priced at $23.99 on Steam through a 20% launch discount that runs for two weeks (regular price $29.99). The game also launches on GOG, Epic Game Store, and the Microsoft Store.

The launch comes with a notable Steam milestone: Beyond These Stars reached 250,000 wishlists before release, according to today’s Hooded Horse / Balancing Monkey Games press release. PC Game Pass is included at launch, putting it alongside Frostpunk 2 and a small group of city builders on the subscription service.

Players rebuild civilization on the back of Kewa, a gigantic space whale traveling through deep space, balancing industrial progress with the whale’s needs as the small Peeps try to return home. The release is localized into 14 languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Czech, Turkish, Ukrainian, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.

Balancing Monkey Games is the New Zealand-based studio behind non-violent, community-focused titles like Before We Leave. Hooded Horse is the publisher of Manor Lords, Against the Storm, and Old World. Reviews are not yet aggregated on Steam at launch.
