Bitmap Bureau and Clear River Games will release He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction on February 4, 2027, on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S, the three platform holders confirmed today. The 2D side-scrolling beat-’em-up, based on Filmation’s 1980s animated series, was developed by Bitmap Bureau (Terminator 2D: No Fate) with Mattel and Clear River Games’ retro team. It will be sold digitally on all three platforms, plus two physical editions through Limited Run Games: a $29.99 standard edition with a slipcover and booklet, and a $99.99 collector’s edition with a He-Man Power Sword replica, acrylic Battle Cat standee, pin badges, steelcase, and a 12-page Dark Horse Comics mini comic. The story follows He-Man, She-Ra, Man-At-Arms, and Teela through 13 stages including Snake Mountain and the Royal Palace, with 2-player local co-op and bosses including Skeletor, Evil-Lyn, Beast Man, Trap Jaw, and the sorceress Shokoti. The game was previously announced for PC (Steam), with the new platform reveals closing the loop on the full console lineup. Pricing and pre-order dates for the digital versions on Switch, PS5, and Xbox weren’t in today’s announcement.
