Gundam Blitz Order is Bandai Namco’s first idle Gundam mobile game, the publisher announced today. The free-to-play iOS and Android title collects mobile suits, warships, and mobile armors from across the franchise and lets them battle on their own while upgrade materials collect in the background.

A network test opens November 18 at 2 PM JST and runs through November 24 at 1:59 PM JST. Bandai Namco is recruiting 2,500 testers starting today (October 15) at noon JST through October 26 at 11:59 AM JST. The publisher hasn’t announced a full release date yet, and the test will be available in “some regions” without Bandai Namco naming which ones.

The game leans into collecting and roster-building more than previous Gundam mobile titles. Players earn mobile suits and other units through what the publisher calls “auto battles,” which generate the upgrade materials needed to power up the whole roster at once. Each unit has its own stats, an “EX skill,” and can be slotted into a custom formation with other mobile suits, warships, and mobile armors. A team-vs-boss mode and an escort-mission mode are also planned.

Can you play it in English?

Yes, if you’re in the right region. The official site is already live in English, Korean, and Traditional Chinese (Hong Kong and Taiwan), and the game is described as a multi-region launch rather than a Japan-only title. The publisher hasn’t announced a separate Western release date or pricing yet, but the language support is there from day one.

Sunrise co-owns the Gundam IP, and recent Bandai Namco Gundam games like Gundam Breaker 4 and Gundam Arsenal Base have launched worldwide in English. A Western release for Blitz Order is likely, but Bandai Namco hasn’t confirmed one. It’s the latest in a busy week of Gundam news: the publisher’s 40th anniversary livestream runs October 28 with GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT updates.
